Zeke needs to let his legal team handle this...I, for one, wouldn't want meddling like you see with Mara...I would prefer the league to be fair and balanced

awe, screw that, since it is NOT fair and balanced at the league office, go after them any way you can...

How many current owners have successfully sued the league? Jerry is a maverick rolled up in a chess master and disguised as a doddering senior citizen. I love it when the league underestimates him. Seeing many do it on this very forum in common place.

This is the problem Roger has created. I know they don't care, but I am no longer an NFL fan. I'm a Cowboys fan, but I can't watch the NFL at all anymore if the Boys aren't playing.

The game itself is so messed up on some many levels. But I'm just an old curmudgeon who appreciates sports, and the pro leagues are all becoming entertainment above sports. It's a fine line to the WWE.

I agree with a lot of this - package in that these freakin' divas kneel during the national anthem and it makes it difficult at times; but, I am an NFL fanatic and will watch all of it

It is hard to know how a judge may rule. All we can do is wait until he returns with his decision this afternoon.

I suspect that the TRO will be granted, but I think there's a reasonable chance it may not. I don't see it being dismissed today. THAT would be a shocker.

I think we're falsely assuming that Zeke will get his injunction. The court system is hard to predict.

Do the owners as a group need to wait for a collective bargining agreement change to put checks and balances on Goodell?

........problem is in this case, alot of owners (Mara et all) likely privetly are applauding what Goodell is trying to pull off on JJones........

Jerry is a HUGE supporter of Goodell. All the owners are really.

Goodell's job is to take all the bullets all the time so the owners smell like roses. He is their fall guy, and they pay him handsomely for it.

Plus, he negotiated a heck of a sweet deal with the NFLPA (with the help of Jerry and others).

I do think the NFL will give up much of this power as a bargaining chip to keep the money close to where it is during the next negotiation.

I think anybody with a brain knows that the TRO may not be granted.

The best revenge would be EE getting the suspension lifted, suing the NFL and being awarded $150 million and then agreeing to contract minimums with the Cowboys so it provides them with an advantage with the salary cap since he's already making tons of money from the NFL.

Jerry and the rest of the owners need the league's reputation to smell good to maximize their return on investment. Goodell's rulings are starting to make that reputation stink. Last year it was Brady, this year it is Zeke. Who's the next NFL star the commish railroads because he thinks he can. Abuse of power is never pretty and the owners are going to have to address this sooner than they address the next CBA.

Is there really a need for the judge to rule by today? Elliott is already cleared to play this weekend so the judge doesn't need to rush to confirm his status this weekend.

Goodell's support of Michael Bennett when he has no clue what happened and the Las Vegas Police Union is stating that this never happened is just about doing it for me.

Now, police officers do have the right to tell somebody they are gong to 'blow their heads off' if they don't stop doing what they are doing. In fact, that's encouraged so you can make it clear that the suspect actually stops doing what they are doing or they'll face dire consequences.

But, there's a good chance that the police officer or one of the officers in question has a body camera showing that this may not have happened. And for Goodell to give his blind support and take Bennett's word at face value over a police officer may be the final straw for me. And I would suggest the NFL, Goodell and the players to not keep this stuff up...you don't want to mess with police unions across the country. They'll strike against giving you security and there's nothing you can do about it. Just ask Mayor De Blasio. Unlike the NFLPA, it's not a union you want to mess with.

If you want to see Goodell blink, Zeke should announce he identifies as a woman.

His SJW head will explode.
Best strategy (in and outside the courtroom) I have heard to date given the world we live in.

It was a bizarre set of circumstances here. The NFL seems hell bent on investigating every player who becomes involved with police but didn't want to touch the Bennett case, I guess, largely because of the racial angle that has been tied to police and African American interactions.

Again, it's all about PR and in this case, siding with Bennett is probably better PR for them than have him investigated and end up taking the side of the police if the facts back up the police's claim.

Such a supporter that when the committee to extend Goodell considered doing so and it was announced as imminent, Jerry inserted himself and the clown ahs not been extended.

I think you mistake a public face for reality.
