I suspect that the TRO will be granted, but I think there's a reasonable chance it may not. I don't see it being dismissed today. THAT would be a shocker.

I think we're falsely assuming that Zeke will get his injunction. The court system is hard to predict.

I agree but based on the argument that Roberts who was the only to interview the young lady wasn't made available to the four panel members for questions, I'd be shocked if the TRO isn't granted in this case, Cowboy fans will rejoice but I'd be careful what Cowboy fans wish for because I'd hate to see an appeals court fast track this and come December or January that the court rules once again that under the CBA agreement Goodell has the right to suspend Zeke and he misses December or January playoff games....if you think Cowboy fans are mad now, just wait if that happens!

It's worth the risk. For Elliott, if he's innocent, this is bigger than football games.

I think you mistake a public face for reality.

Goodell and the league owners "reality" is that they couldn't care less about the public face of you or I, they care about Sponsors and endorsements and losing their billions in cash that run this league........

In that case he is a huge liability in the upcoming labor talks.

no court is going to find him innocent or guilty....they're only ruling on whether a temporary injunction is given on the "process" of the league took to reach their determination, not whether he's innocent...

It's still a court win and in the eyes of many, if Elliott can get a TRO and then eventually win in an appeals court, it's going to be vindication for him.

So yeah, this is still bigger than football games. Anyone saying he should just eat the 6 game suspension now is just being obtuse IMO.

The suspension will be served, just a matter of when. I won't be surprised if it's starting Week 2.
I would normally agree with you on this. However, there does seem to be at least some possibility that he will beat goodell on this one. We'll see.

I think anybody with a brain knows that the TRO may not be granted.

The best revenge would be EE getting the suspension lifted, suing the NFL and being awarded $150 million and then agreeing to contract minimums with the Cowboys so it provides them with an advantage with the salary cap since he's already making tons of money from the NFL.

As a lawyer I can confirm that any of the potential outcomes could potentially happen.
...and some doctors say that eating Cap'n Crunch cereal may be part of a nutirionally balanced breakfast and may lead to a reduced risk of some forms of cancer...

The Federal Appeals court has already ruled(Brady case) that the league(Goodell) has the authority through collective bargaining between the NFLPA and the league to suspend players for violation of their code of conduct policy......Brady dropped it and served the 4 games because his lawyers knew the Supreme court wasn't going to waste their time on a collectively bargained policy......I'm afraid Zeke is going to serve 6 games, whether it's this year or next year.....the NFLPA gave the League that power(ability) and the league has found Zeke violated the code of conduct policy..

If it gets to court, I think Zeke is going to get out of this.

The NFL made incomprehensibly unfair moves and decisions in this process. Kia Roberts ASKED to testify, and she's ready to roast the NFL in the courtroom. She's the superstar witness that none of the other cases had.

Well, since you say so, I guess all hope is doomed.

That's the thing that worries me here. Most of us laypeople see what we think should be a cut and dried outcome and assume a judge will see it the same way. Doesn't always work out that way, though.

This case will be in a different circuit without any similar precedent. Everyone agrees its most likely Elliot will serve the suspension at some point. At the same time, it's not hard to see a path in this case for a player to finally win his case against the NFL. There are things that the NFL did in this case that a judge or judges could agree went outside of the CBA and violated higher laws. I'm not saying it will happen but it looks like Zeke has the best case yet for it to happen.
