Tanner looked better than Dunbar, but of a surprise but encouraging.

1. Murray
2. Tanner
3. Dunbar
4. Randle (unfairly getting bench splitters)

Very good game from him. I guess the weight loss really helped him.

I still don't trust his vision.

Yeah he missed quite a few holes today, but there is a place for a hard running back even if they don't have good vision.

Murray
Randle
Tanner
Dunbar

Those will be our RBs, not necessarily in that order.

Tanner has been a bit of a pet cat of mine since his rookie season. I really like the guy. Maybe they give him more chances this year.

Mine, too. Though I have to admit, I was a bit disappointed with him last year. It didn't seem at times he was running with the same determination. But tonight reminded me of everything I like about him. Great balance, love his spin move and how he keeps churning. He looks like he packs a load, too, when he gets into the pile. Always falling forward. Good stuff.

All our backs looked good. Randle looked quicker on the field than I thought he would at the NFL level. I thought Tanner looked the best of all of them, by a country mile, though.

We know Murray is the one, I think the Cowboys would love to have Tanner step up to #2 because of his size and toughness to pass protect, Dunbar would have to show a special knack at his size to pass protect, Randle---a rookie, he's going to have to show up on pass protect film consistently to move up the ladder.

Murray and Randle aren't going anywhere.

They seem to really like Dunbar as a 3rd down scat back type contributor.

So that IMO leaves tanner and Lawrence on the outside looking in.

I don't see this team keeping 4 backs and 4 TE's.

Especially with the issues at guard.

Tanner will make a team

Just not the Cowboys.

It's early guys.
Randle started camp late and is a tentative rookie right now. He's so much better than what we will see early on.
Loved Tanners work tonight though

Tanner sure is making the RB decision difficult. Hard to cut a guy who playes like that tonight. We need to see him against the 1st stringers the next several games.

All four backup RBs looked pretty good. Good competition.
