I want a Chargers/Cardinals SB.

that way they can slap NE in the face for suggesting the Chargers didn't belong in the playoffs.

that way the Eagles definitely wouldnt make the SB, Giants either.

His INT against Eli and last week against Jackson were the ultimate gimmies. All he's doing is sitting on routes which is what he did in New England.

Yup. I'm not suggesting he's better now than he was at NE, he did win a couple of rings there though, didn't he?

What are his coverage stats for this season? I don't know.

No idea, I'm not sure he gets tested all that often.

35 tackles (21 solo), 22 passes deflected, 4 INTs through 15 games.

Terence Newman: 37 tackles (32 solo), 11 passes deflected, 4 INTs through 10 games.

I'll take option 2.

Historically, if I remember correctly, he gets tested a lot.

Regardless, why would someone declare him not overrated when they don't even know his coverage stats?

Im not saying he's not good at what he does, but he can be exploited often.

Kurt Warner throws more ducks than any qb I have ever seen.

the difference is Larry Fitzgerald hauls them in while double-covered for TDs :laugh2:

What do Newman and Asante have to do with each other? You answered a question no one asked.

I don't want to see Flacco there, or the Steelers or the Eagles or the Giants. Cardinals-Chargers would be great.

By coverage stats, I mean attempts and completions. INTs doesn't tell you much about a DB, but the 22 PDs is pretty darn good.

Yeah...the PD's was a little surprising. I don't care enough to look up detailed stats, but that suggests he's had a very good year, or that he's been thrown at an incredible number of times.

Either way, the INT today was definitely gift-wrapped.

I'm being proactive on the inevitable comparisons, since people here tend to compare the two. I'd rather have what I already have on my team than pining away for someone that will never play here, that's all I'm saying.

I agree with you. Why do people always want to compare? silly...

I don't understand how a cb can be at fault for intercepting a bad throw, should he know get .25 ints because it wasn't a great throw?

I don't think anyone was getting ready to compare the two, but I'll assume when you say "since people tend to compare to two", you count yourself among those "people"?
