I don't understand how a cb can be at fault for intercepting a bad throw, should he know get .25 ints because it wasn't a great throw?
No one said he was "at fault" for it. Just don't cream your pants over a gift INT. It's like a RB running straight ahead through a 5 yard hole. People inevitably scream, "zOMG the runningback is a m0nst3r!11!!1"

Some people love to moisten their drawers over that kind of stuff though. You'll see it more often when your team is at home in the playoffs and someone makes a play. Look at the Flacco > Romo thread for an example.

But - you don't see any of the "ELI IS BETTER THAN ROMOZ" guys here now, because Eli is playing like dookie.

No one is proclaiming anyone the second coming, why do you find it so hard to discuss this kind of stuff without going cross-eyed? :laugh2:

It wasn't a trap.

He has a superbowl ring and is a superbowl MVP, so yeah, he's better by every measure that matters in football, regardless of whether he bombs this game or not. We have Romo though, so Eli can fall in a well for all I care.

gotta love when the refs blow the play dead AFTER the fumble

LOL @ McNabb trying to point in the area of a receiver...unless he was throwing it at the ref, or throwing it to someone on the sidelines!

This is a bit bizarre. You actually did imply that he was very good by your earlier statement based on that sole play. I merely replied that was stupid. Yet no one at all claimed that he was "at fault" for the play and you attacked that position.

Can you say straw man? How about hypocrite?

Yea but if that was romo, most of you would be saying what horrible protection and what a bad play call by garrett. So that play with the logic of alot of you is that would be the line and marty' s fault for the safety, not mcnabb's.

I was taking the Browns to the Super Bowl......how did the Giants get that safety?

was it a sack, holding in the end zone, fumble out of the end zone, snap over the head of McNabb or the Punter, tackle in the end zone or intentional grounding in the end zone?

Exactly, because I don't think it's possible for a Cardinals team to come in here at Giants stadium and stand a chance at winning. This would be the worst possible scenario for Arizona.

No, I didn't say he was very good based on that sole play.

And no, I didn't attack anyone, I'm discussing why people say an int is gift wrapped as if it's the guys fault.

Again, can you say straw man?

It was a typical Garrett playcall that had McNabb running a slow developing pass from the endzone. He was doomed from the get go, threw the ball to no where, and a flag was thrown for intentional grounding in the endzone.
