Philly Enquirer: What if Wentz had Prescott's supporting cast?

It's pathetic to watch so called Cowboys fan make excuses for a Philly player. Like seriously, plenty of players have been on terrible teams but still produced. Stop with the excuses. Dak is better then Wentz and is not a debate.......any real Cowboys fan would be happy we got the better QB

It's different applying the "what if" scenario to matters in your control vs. matters not in your control.

For example, Edison applied the "what if" scenario when he was trying to invent the light bulb. He had all the elements available, and with his determination, he succeeded.

But with people, it's different. You can't "control" the situation once Wentz becomes a Eagle. So considering "what if" in that situation is futile.

You see what I'm saying?

P.S., I agree with you that Wentz needs a better supporting cast. I think he would be even better if he had Dak's tools.
Yeah brah. I was being satirical. As you are in many of your posts. ;)

By this logic, we should no longer make excuses for Romo because, let's see, he doesn't have a strong defense, he didn't have his No. 1 receiver, the receiver didn't catch the ball, he can't block for himself, etc. ;)

Wentz should be on the bench. The guy hasn't found a tight end all season. They are blaming his receivers for dropping passing and ignoring the fact that Wentz doesn't throw a catchable ball. He fires 100mph fastballs from 4 yards away to a receiver who has a DB bearing down on him. He has shown no touch on the ball, no ability to read downfield. Wentz needs to sit down for a while. You know his receivers are getting sick of him throwing fast balls at their feet.

Wentz in Dallas this year would not be a gold thing. Dak buys time to find guys and throws them catchable balls. Wentz fires the ball out of target and the receivers are taking the fall for this.

The overhype on Wentz is epic! The guy threw, what, 43 times for 202 yards and he had a great game? The push for him to be a superstar is suffocating.

People saying that Dak's only successful because of the O-line. But, how come with no other winning team right now, no one says that, this or that QB is only winning or successful, because of whatever unit of players that are playing well on those other teams and helping them win? Every team that is winning right now is doing so because of players besides their QB playing well.

You have to have as much success before you can have more success. Choke on 4-3 and good luck staying over .500 next week with your #2 overall QB who's regressing in recent weeks and who won't throw the ball beyond the line of scrimmage.

The majority of his passes barely travel past the line of scrimmage, yet fans are basically lining up to carry his jock strap. It's sickening.

The QBs (a multitude of them) did not fair so well last year with the Oline we have going on right now.

Zeke is a step up for sure, no matter who would like to argue about Mcfadden at this point.

Carson looks really good. I would really like to see him throw the ball more down the field but that may be his lack of weapons or the system....not sure though.

The Philly rebuild plan is much further along than we all thought to start the season. Sproles is a weapon but he is not a full time starter at running back for a full season. The Wide receivers and tight ends do not get much separation. Upgrading the WR and RB is going to be very important over the next few years. Offensive line too considering their left tackle is probably leaving his peak and Lane Johnson is one test away from a long suspension.

We knew they had a great defense. That much is true. But their best offensive player, by far, is a 34 YO scat back. Their OL is weak at key positions (OC and OT) we just can't take advantage of. We came out flat and made multiple uncharacteristic mistakes from the bobble of the first kick and still won the game in the end.

I'm reserving judgement on this PHI team until year end. They just played us and MIN well in back to back weeks, but I still think they're a team with fairly significant talent deficiencies.

I don't want to hear this. For one, Wentz offensive line has played well.

Secondly, Agoholor was a first round pick. He's bad but he's still young. Jordan Matthews is a good receiver and a legit starter in this league. Maybe a #2. They have Ertz and Celek at tight end. They want to change the narrative as if they haven't invested picks in guys around him but they have. Granted, i'd take our supporting cast over there's but let's not act like he doesn't have weapons.

And let's also act like he doesn't dink and dunk every single play. The same criticism they gave Dak is exactly what Wentz does. Throw a 3 yard pass and pray the player can rack up some YAC.

If Dak had the Eagirls defense i'm sure he'd be doing far more than 4 yard dump passes.

The media and fans who are cowboys haters would rather take the credit away from 2 guys playing prime time positions and instead shift the credit to the guys without names or faces...lets just give credit to the Offensive line. It hurts them less to do this. They will only give Zeke credit if it's in the process of downplaying Dak and they only give Dak credit if in the process of downplaying Zeke.
