I don't understand how you can not get the man's point. Philly trading Mcnabb isn't his point. It's if you've ever listened to Philly fans and here them talking about reid and Mcnabb and how they want a ring and not just being content with winning the division or a couple of playoffs games as our fans have been that is his point. But I guess someone who is labeling people as dumb should of already picked up on this already....
I brought up a point about Tom Landry and Dallas fans being wrong.

If you wish to genuflect to Philly fans by all means go ahead, but don't expect me to applaud you for it. In fact don't ever expect me to applaud you for anything until you actually earn it.

Let's try this again:

a) Trading McNabb is not the point. It is the underlying premise BEHIND the trade. That premise NOT being able to get to the next level and NOT being happy with just being there.

That is how Dallas fans USED to think. Just getting there was not enough. WIN!!!

b) Regular season wins are nice, but when did we become happy being the Atlanta Braves, or Indianapolis Colts of the NFL???

Been a fan since 1965 chances are longer than you have been alive. No one likes to lose and no one is satisfied but some of us are smart enough to see real progress being made and with that progress this team has a real chance to getting back to the show.

arguements are what make this forum great! i have an opinion. i post it. i'm not looking for freinds, but i post what i feel. eventually people who blast me always come around it seems.

hos is a good dude.

you read what i say and even though you don't like to admit it, a little part of you agrees with me. i do mean that in all honesty.

You keep trying to tell people that they agree with you and they keep telling you that they don't.

Why is it so hard for you to believe that maybe, just maybe, we don't agree with you?

don't need your applause or agreement. not worried about earning anything in your eyes. just ask yourself if you are truly it in for "progress" and the first 16 games, or the one in february that is the real goal.

the anger you have for me is simply me pointing out the fact that you and others are now okay with being in the final 8. i'm not. you can hate me for that.

he just said philly trading mcnabb is the underlying meaning.

he and you are not bright enough apparently to realize why mcnabb was traded.

If trading mcnabb because he did not win the superbowl and not believing he can was the real reason which is the whole point of this nonsense.....not being content with mcnabb not getting over the hump....

then wouldnt the philadelphia eagles have cut mcnabb after losing his 3rd straight nfc championship at home to an inferior panthers team?

go ahead and explain to me the difference of cutting him now and not then under the premise that it was all about mediocrity and this nonsense the two of you are talking about.

Who was their back up QB then? How old was McNabb then? They didn't cut him they got draft picks for him. In their eyes they stuck it out as far as they were willing to go with Mcnabb and got something out of it in the end. Seems a lot better than cutting him and getting nothing for him. Then factor in the injuries it's easy to see.

When did we become "happy" with just making the playoffs and winning one game?

Were we supposed to feel sad?

No, I don't think you are dumb and I actually like you.

However, this thread is really pointless QC. You cannot draw a correlation to the point.

BTW, and slightly off topic, we all notice the logos behind Jerry or Wade when they do press conferences. Ford, Pepsi, or Papa John's usually.

Did you notice the one behind Andy Reid for their PC?

I kid you not. Yeah, that's a 1st class organization right there. Aces. One the ball. Top notch with the ultimate sponsors.

simply because i've been down this road before. i post something people hate, then as the weeks progress they say..damn, that idiot was right. that's it. don't take it personally.

i'm just the harry truman of the board. you couldn't wait for me to go, but then after a while you all seem to say he was pretty damn good and accurate after you take a step back and think about it. that's all.

i make you think. and some people hate that.

I was talking to him about him, not talking to him about you. I have talked to you about you.

For someone who preaches against "mediocrity", you sure do have an awfully high opinion of yourself.

No...i don't think we should feel 'sad'. I just don't understand why there is a feeling of contentment with last season...that's all.
