No...i don't think we should feel 'sad'. I just don't understand why there is a feeling of contentment with last season...that's all.

Because the road back to another championship has to start somewhere.

No, I don't think you are dumb and I actually like you.

However, this thread is really pointless QC. You cannot draw a correlation to the point.

BTW, and slightly off topic, we all notice the logos behind Jerry or Wade when they do press conferences. Ford, Pepsi, or Papa John's usually.

Did you notice the one behind Andy Reid for their PC?

I kid you not. Yeah, that's a 1st class organization right there. Aces. One the ball. Top notch with the ultimate sponsors.

That's a great point HoS. We also have 5 super bowl rings and they do not. We are considered one of the best franchises and they are not. Our fans are content with playoff wins while theirs are not. That's the difference mangz.

you don't even read this site, half the thread are *****ing about this offseason and last season.

You pop in , post a troll job, never read the site, and then disappear until you do it again.

at least be honest about what you do. That's what bugs me the most about you guys. You don't participate in the site other than to troll and you don't even have the balls to admit it.

So you mean to tell me that 31 other teams accomplished their goals from the previous season? It may be a stupid movie line from a stupid movie however, it holds true in football. If you don't win the superbowl then you failed for the season all that progress is meaningless and non sense. I have played sports and competed in various other things like poker chess and different other card games. My goal was always to win in these events to place first. I would work hard in an attempt to place first. I look for ways to improve and continue to try to place first. I don't go oh I went from 7th to 6th yay me. No that's non sense. In the end the only thing that matters is winning. Winning is a hell of a lot more fun than losing.

I mean heading into any season there are realistic goals if you are a 4-12 team and are able to improve into a playoff team that is a real achivement not a failure of a season. You don't go from 4-12 and win the SB just as Dallas did not go from 1-15 with Jimmy Johnson to the SB the following year the team made realistic progress even when we got our butts handed to us by Det in the divisonal round and then made it all the way and no I don't consider the years after 1-15 failed season they were season were the team got better and better.

Only a fool or again someone with no knowledge of sprots and what it takes to win would make the comments you just did. Wanting to win hell everyone wants to win that is the easy part the hard part is doing all the things and putting in the time just to have a shot at winning.

Apparently if you read the OP it starts with us trading someone who is an albatross. Damned if I can get him to finger the culprit though.

Philly fans apparently rock because they are not satisfied and they forced that trade.

Then he has one supporter who can barely support his own ideas without looking like Nors overdosed on Valium.

Who is content with just winning a playoff spot? Some acknowledge improvement as important but because we don't run around hollering players and coaches should be fired that means we are content? God you really are a lost cause

I guess nothing short of a championship will satisfy him. As a Yankee fan, I kinda understand that mentality, but the NFL doesn't work like that. To me, that Philly playoff game was like a cool drink after a long walk in the desert.

Allow me to point out, that in 1960 the Eagles won the NFL championship. That was our 1st year and we went 0-11-1. In 1961 we won a game and every season since we have won at last one game and hey have not won it again.

There is more correlation to what I just revealed than this thread Eagles to Cowboys fans.

I think Eagles fans are jerks, but I have never seen one ranting and raving like you are and praising them for it. Not once in all my years of being a fan.

Step 1: Invent imaginary character - a Cowboys fan who is content with not winning super bowls. Draw fuzzy contrast between imaginary Cowboys fan and imaginary Eagles fan.
Step 2: Ignore everyone who tells you that these charicatures don't exist. Continue to rail against them ceaselessly. Use incomprehensible logic and insult the entire state of South Carolina.
Step 3: ?????
Step 4: Bomb Hiroshima.

Yeah however, there's a difference between a 4-13 team and a team who is predicted to make it to the superbowl am i rite? I mean the Cowboys are not/have not had a losing season in a while. We've been putting the pieces together for a superbowl and are continuously being considered the most talented team yet it's not adding up to super bowl wins. The fans are content with playoff wins because we haven't won in a while winning in december and have lost sight of the true goal of winning a superbowl.

If you're upset about the Vikings lose vent your anger.
If you're upset that the cowboys didn't win the superbowl once these past 3 season then vent your anger.
If you dislike a player then vent your anger.
If you don't like the moves the cowboys make then vent your anger.

Should you be considered dumb stupid or get ridiculed for how you feel? No. If you don't feel like this for whatever reason then you're content. However, I am a fan I love rooting for the cowboys. I think it's within my right to say hey, you guys need to shape it up here here and here. Not just sit there and be a blind homer.

You right this is no 1-15 team this is a team who has gone from being one of the worst teams in the NFC East into a contending team. There is no writen script of how it will all end with this team but one thing for sure this is a team doing what they need to do to take the next step to achive the goal. Because things do not happen as quick as you may like does not mean the Cowboys are going about this wrong.
