Quarterback Coach;3335803 said:No...i don't think we should feel 'sad'. I just don't understand why there is a feeling of contentment with last season...that's all.

However, this thread is really pointless QC. You cannot draw a correlation to the point.
BTW, and slightly off topic, we all notice the logos behind Jerry or Wade when they do press conferences. Ford, Pepsi, or Papa John's usually.
Did you notice the one behind Andy Reid for their PC?

I kid you not. Yeah, that's a 1st class organization right there. Aces. One the ball. Top notch with the ultimate sponsors.

DaBoys4Life;3335768 said:So you mean to tell me that 31 other teams accomplished their goals from the previous season? It may be a stupid movie line from a stupid movie however, it holds true in football. If you don't win the superbowl then you failed for the season all that progress is meaningless and non sense. I have played sports and competed in various other things like poker chess and different other card games. My goal was always to win in these events to place first. I would work hard in an attempt to place first. I look for ways to improve and continue to try to place first. I don't go oh I went from 7th to 6th yay me. No that's non sense. In the end the only thing that matters is winning. Winning is a hell of a lot more fun than losing.

Apparently if you read the OP it starts with us trading someone who is an albatross. Damned if I can get him to finger the culprit though.bbgun;3335808 said:Because the road back to another championship has to start somewhere.

You don't go from 4-12 and win the SB just as Dallas did not go from 1-15 with Jimmy Johnson to the SB the following year the team made realistic progress even when we got our butts handed to us by Det in the divisonal round and then made it all the way and no I don't consider the years after 1-15 failed season they were season were the team got better and better.
Only a fool or again someone with no knowledge of sprots and what it takes to win would make the comments you just did. Wanting to win hell everyone wants to win that is the easy part the hard part is doing all the things and putting in the time just to have a shot at winning.

Park the paranoia man.
DaBoys4Life;3335810 said:That's a great point HoS. We also have 5 super bowl rings and they do not. We are considered one of the best franchises and they are not. Our fans are content with playoff wins while theirs are not. That's the difference mangz.

Philly fans apparently rock because they are not satisfied and they forced that trade.
Then he has one supporter who can barely support his own ideas without looking like Nors overdosed on Valium.

do you have to carry your ego in a suitcase along with you wherever you go?
Allow me to point out, that in 1960 the Eagles won the NFL championship. That was our 1st year and we went 0-11-1. In 1961 we won a game and every season since we have won at last one game and hey have not won it again.Quarterback Coach;3335816 said:I know you don't hate me, or think i'm dumb. even as much crap as i sling to sdogo i get a kick out of the guy.
trust me when i say i am not a philly fan. i just like their attitude of "the ring is the thing."
i didn't notice the reid conference sadly...on a completely different topic i spent the last 2 days negotiating 3 contracts that are becoming a pain in the butt. i only heard the presser on satelitte radio.
bbgun;3335825 said:I guess nothing short of a championship will satisfy him. As a Yankee fan, I kinda understand that mentality, but the NFL doesn't work like that. To me, that Philly playoff game was like a cool drink after a long walk in the desert.
