Philly game was a blessing in disguise

Looking past this season, it will be important for the Cowboys to improve the D-line. That's what I got from this game, but it was something i thought has been an obvious weakness for years.

Truth there. They exposed our defense by playing no huddle. If your rotating front can hardly generate pressure and you stop them from even getting fresh legs, it sure makes running your offense a lot easier if you've got all day to throw the ball and the other team is winded. Our offense did nothing to help though. We couldn't sustain a drive. Hopefully it's a fluke and we'll look sharper next week.

No. It is evidence that directly refutes that we can't "compete" with the better teams in the league.

A team without Bobby Wagner for most of the game. A team dealing with Percy Harvin issues.

Look, I am proud of that win. But at the end of the day it will not matter if that was our peak.

We'll see how much of a blessing it was when Dallas is watching the playoffs from their couch again.

Yesterday was an eye opener. The team needs to respond and its time to take that out on Chicago.

I'm sure if Murray was running against this front seven he would average 5.7 a pop too.

That may be true but, Phili came in to this game ranked 19th in rushing defense. The entire offense just flat out stunk this go round.

Nothing would be better than to take out frustration on what appears to be a reeling team.

That is what a good team with playoff aspirations would do.

A meek win or especially a loss will speak volumes where this team is at.

The O-Line had a bad game. Could we upgrade LG and RT? Sure. Are they burning priorities? Not considering the junk we have on defense.

I agree, but I want to see the G and T on the OL upgraded. I also think that if you target young players (25-27 years old) on the OL and DL in FA you can couple that with the draft if you are willing to move down and gather picks you can overall lines. We have to be able to stop the blitz and conversely be able to rush the passer. Now, I hate to say this, but we have to will be patient if they stay the course and upgrade the lines. I also think they need to release Carr and free up some cash for the team.

Yeah I guess we lost it for the season then. No chance of getting it back or even making the playoffs. Season's over. And never said it wasn't important but nice to know you can make up things on the fly.

not trying to jump on but the idea it is, I think, that if we continue to play like we did yesterday we won't win any more games. And being in control of our own destiny just means that we didn't play good enough to beat the teams we're scheduled to play and getting to the playoffs.

Agreed. It amazes that people are ready to jump off based off of yesterday. The season isn't over and this team still has a lot to play for. I'm excited to see what we do these last 4 weeks. We control what we do. We don't need any help right now to get into the playoffs if we win.

Based on our performances over the past 4 weeks, we're staring at a 1-3 team ... and will probably finish 1-3 over our last four games. But don't be surprised if we run the tables and finish 8-8. Ta-da !!!

You know, one time I came out of an exam in college and literally had tears in my eyes because I thought I failed it so bad. I ended up with a 9 out of 32, but the average ended up being 11 so I was saved by the class average. I eventually ended up with a B in the class, but after that exam, I never once thought to myself, "Wow! This could be a blessing in disguise!"

Actually I was sitting at the 50 yard line, first row. I saw first hand how Dallas got handled in the trenches.

Then I can guess that while Murray was running from sideline to sideline, trying to make something out of nothing, you were too busy watching the beautiful cheerleaders and did not see
the tremendous effort given by the young and talented RB.... I don't blame you..:).... No offense to you... However, it is always discouraging to read
all these "don't re-sign Murray" posts... Dunbar sucked and Randle is not a 16 game RB.......... congrats on the great seats... sucks that they lost... home games
will probably always hurt this team... Huge mistake on the part of Jerry, the GM... Big revenue source for Jerry, the Owner.

Things change in the NFL. Seattle is a lot better now than they were playing then. And we are not even close to being that team we were on that day. Do you think if we played in Seattle next week we would get that same result?

Yes... Why not?
