Plan B at RB

Minnesota can trade him anywhere they want to. And now we've exposed ourselves to having to give up picks in a trade. This is the dumbest of the dumb moves this organization has made.

Which move is that?

lol....you can't even spell KELLY's name right. We don't need to spend our 1st rounder on a RB btw....Murray was a 3rd rounder. We could get a very solid, young RB in the 2nd-4th rounds in this year's draft.

Your making fun of my spelling on a message board? Grow up.

I agree we can get a back in the 3rd or 4th. That was my entire point. We should not spend a high draft pick replacing Murray.

draft Gurley or Gordon if there. One of them should be there.

IF both are available who would you draft and why,

They are saying Gurley has close to AP type talent but he is coming off a torn ACL. IF he is there at 27 do you take him?

I'm going with Gurley at #27 if we don't get Peterson or Spiller.

I think he's a special back, and the one I think is worth a 1st round pick. I find Gordon limited and feel he's more a product of a system.

I'm not scared off by the ACL as I think medicine has reached a point where it's not the big deal it once was. Peterson tore both his ACL and MCL on December 24th and returned for week one and had a record-setting season. I think Gurley can too.

I agree. This injury/surgery is getting like Tommy John Surgery for baseball. Its not as much of a red flag anymore.

Absolutely, take Gurley

I like Gurley but will he be ready this season? I'll admit I haven't heard much about his recovery yet.

Right now Gordon, why use a 1st on Gurley who will not be very effective next season only to have him 2 or 3 years after that then release him? May as well go with a guy who can come in day 1 and play until his rookie deal is done.

Why cut Murray loose because we don't want to pay him a bunch of guaranteed money and then trade draft picks for a 30-year-old Peterson and his monstrous contract? Makes ZERO sense to me.

I am trying to make sense of what the FO is doing, going through all kinds of scenarios....

It doesnt make all that much sense, unless AP comes down on his contract. I had the notion that the Cowboys were hoping that Murray wouldn't find such an offer like he did, and the FO would've come up from their low ball offer a little, to match whatever he did get.

And when that didn't happen, now they realized they were going into next season without a legitimate threat at RB. But that probably isnt the case either...

I think were just going to go with no-name RBs and a rookie or two , with potential....and hope for the best...

I am not exactly upset with that either. But, I thought we were going to make a push for the Super Bowl. NE and Seattle did some things to get better, maintain. And we havent done anything....and I dont think we will really get AP, and I dont think we will get Hardy either...

Which makes me think, this isnt the year they want to push for a SB. Which puzzles me, because, Romo is done in 1-3 year, imho. And if he goes 4 years, how is his body going to hold up?

I know I know. Gurley is a beast and RBs can be had in the later rounds.....

But the thought of AP behind this line, running all over the place, puts Dallas in the Super Bowl!! :)

AP circa 2012, yeah. But he's 30, hasn't played in a year and wants big money wherever he goes.

No thank yeeeeeeeeeeeeeew!

respecting your opinion sir, he is a scat back, we need a downhill fwith break away moves/speed. Gordon has the speed, but he can not take the beating, Gurley will deliver the beating, and run away from you, sorry, Gurley is the much better back...

6'1 215 is not a scat back. He can run between tackles. He has better vision than Gurley also. Duke is a scat back, I dont see Gordon as one.
