I enjoy him very much as well. Its a shame we don't get very many games on CBS to hear him.
I am interested to hear Aikman's take on the new offense too, but it looks like the Cowboys only get the one Monday Night Game.

Who knows? We might get flexed into another one later.

Hope not.

That means it will be a meaningful game and playoff possibilities and / or seeding. I rather we have everything wrapped up by the time they do this.

However we do have another ESPN / ABC game on December 30th. Against the Lions. That is considered the MNF game for that week, since there will be no actual MNF game.
So doubt they get flexed for a 3rd. But you never know.

Mike McCarthy since he has been our coach has been the media’s punching bag. Been ridiculed, questioned about what does he actually do for the team etc. He basically was Jerry’s puppet with all decisions. He never wanted Boy Wonder here but Jerry threw him at him. Well finally, the senile old man saw the light and got rid of Moore. Mike McCarthy take a BOW you have done a hec of a job with this offense in two games. I am so happy that the media is now giving you all the praise to so much deserve. We were never going to go anywhere with Moore’s ridiculous play calling this year once again!! Glad he is out of our lives.
Move on...have enough tact to not root against as a get even.

I admit sadly that I was foolish enough to buy into fool's gold for a while and support Garrett — not to the extent that I believed he was the answer, but to the extent that I thought the team might could succeed anyway. Then, I figured out that his good years were a product of primarily taking advantage of weak schedules, his flaws would always be exposed in the playoffs and developed my five-year theory (which is supported by evidence). Any coach now has five years to get us to the Super Bowl or I'm ready to pull the trigger.
I forgive you :flagwave::grin:

I like what I see from the entire team so far having said that pretty sure I could handle play calling duties when the defense is completely dominating. So far from what I have seen everyone on the team deserves a pat on the back for having done their job to date. Parsons deserves most of the credit for being super hero level awesome.

That is true. I forgot about the Lions game. That said, if they are going to flex a game, and they need a ratings boost, who do you think they will flex?

Moore cared more about stats than being a proper game manager. McCarthy is seasoned in this stuff. It’s ugly and beautiful at the same time
McCarthy seems to have Parcells attitude to offense.

Any possession that ends in a kick of any kind is good.

Cowboys personnel improvements from last season:

-Added Cooks
-Tolbert ready after rookie season
-Ferguson more mature
-Schoonover (better blocking)
-Deuce
-Gallup healthier
-Finally dumped plodding Elliott

Dallas offense has also enjoyed two total shutdown games from the defense and ***9 turnovers***

Far too early to compare offensive approach.
Agree with everything above, but even with Gallup healthier he still looks horrible out there. He needs to contribute much more especially for his salary.

Not sure, but really doubt it. Because it used to be only 6 national televised games was the limit. But they don't always go by their own rules.
They only have certain weeks designated to flex. And I think for MNF and TNF the supposed rule is 2 weeks advanced notice.

I just don't see it happening. If you look at the schedule and when Dallas plays. There are not many, if any, opportunities for it to be practical.

I am not sure when those weeks are. But sat week 9, no way FOX gives up the Cowboys Eagles game. Especially when the 2nd Eagles game is a SNF game. Which is week 14.
Week 10, Giants at Cowboys, doubt it.
Week 11 Philly at KC on a MNF, that won't be moved.
Week 12 T-Day week and week 13 Cowboys on TNF.

week 15 I doubt FOX will give up Cowboys Bills game.
Week 16, Christmas weekend, no changes will be made. As the 3 games are set for that monday
Week 17, as said, on ESPN on Saturday night.
Week 18 all games played on Sunday, no MNF.

First of all Fat Billy is a washed up Giants has been. Second of all a FG and a punt are only good as long as Parsons is ruining the game for the other team. At some point you need to do better.

Parcells is the greatest coach in NFL history. Took a horrible Giants franchise to multiple Super Bowls. Then resurrected a horrible New England franchise that had been down for decades. Then did the same thing with the Jets. Then he came here to this 5-11, 5-11, 5-11 crap show, and got the team to the playoffs with Quincy Freaking Carter, and saw the light in Romo when Jerry was slobbering all over Chad Hutchinson and Drew Henson. He's the god of NFL coaches.

And the number one thing that will beat you most often in football is losing the turnover battle. Proven over and over again.

Other than that, you made a good point! LOL

I'm not a fan. But you have to play to your quarterback's strengths and within his limitations. And with a great defense, it might be enough.
Yes. It is what we learned last year with Cooper Rush. By no means is he anywhere near Daks talent. But we learned we don’t need the QB to singlehandedly win the game. Unfortunately when Dak came back, they complicated the offense again.

The Chargers look eerily like the Cowboys of years past... great stats, but ends up in a loss
Yep! I have a Chargers friend who was fully on board with Kellen Moore because they just saw the stats we had on offense over his tenure. I tried to warn them about him but they didn't listen. Even after these 2 losses, they still just blame the defense. Except LAC had the ball in both games to win and failed. Kellen's identity is zero adjustments and no real design. It's just every guy trying to beat their own guys. Looks great when it happens but when it doesn't, goes south in a hurry. He can't design to put his guys in the best position to win consistently. I also see some complaints about how their guys aren't getting any separation. Yes, Kellen's poor design is a cause of this. Their gameplan becomes very predictable so the defense is able to sit on so many routes.

Kellen is all stats and no substance. Actually watch the games and see how he fails over and over in big time moments.

I agree that they likely won't move the Cowboys Giants game, especially after what happened the last time the teams played against each other. I see why you're saying that we likely won't get moved.

It's either hit a home run or strike out. So far they're striking out. He doesn't adjust or play small ball when necessary. People love stats, hence the crying around here when the team decided to move on!!

It's easy to call plays when the other team can't cross the 50 lol.

You only evaluate playcallers when they're losing.

That would be foolish to only evaluate someone from a losing perspective.
Nope. Playcalling only matters when you're losing - or I guess in a close game at times - because there's actual consequences to what you call.

Anyone can commit to a miserable running game when you're blowing the other team out.
