Play Calling: McCarthy > Moore

Which is exactly what I said. We didn't force it in this game because we didn't have to. Against a team like the Chiefs, we'll have to be more aggressive.
Thanks for chiming in Mr. Obvious. And NO thats not what you said.

You said playing conservative concerned you against Mahomes. Which shows a complete disconnect as to game and situation.

I don't think the final score really tells the full story, thought we were a bit sloppy today and the execution was worse at times. I know some will say it was the Jets defense just being that good, but I think that's a cope.

We'll see how it goes over the next few weeks.

Lol the score could have easily been 52-10
We scored 30 on them - anyone saying the jets defense was good is crazy

Have a coach who calls plays to the quarterback strengths, understands TOP, spreads the ball around and etc.

Although my only grip was o think MM went WAY to conservative the second half

KM cared about stats and stats only. Basically a fantasy football coach as my coworker says

Herbert is going to put up stats with Moore but that's about it. The chargers defense is atrocious. He doesn't care about keeping his defense off the field which would be my goal.

Uh yea, playing conservative against Mahomes would not be a good idea. Did you watch what happened against Quinn in the superbowl against Tom Brady?

If I was 'obvious' to you, you'd have understood the point I made and wouldn't be getting sassy.

McCarthy designed an offense that worked great in this game, especially againist a tough defense in the Jets but we'll have to open it up against top qbs. Not sure what's so hard to understand about that.

Why would we play conservative against Mahomes genius?

DUH, but what about Mahomes!!!!

Get lost troll!! GO COWBOYS!!!!!

Moore is unapologetically Air Coryell. He's been boldly saying as much.

He complicates it a lot and it's an offense that always put up big stats but it's notoriously difficult to run without elite talent at the skill positions and exposes other parts of team.

It does and always will put up big stats but it doesn't always result in wins.

The Chargers look eerily like the Cowboys of years past... great stats, but ends up in a loss
You are not lying. Their game today reminded me so much of previous games here with Kellen calling plays.

This is the west coast offense. Lots of short, quick passes, YAC, scheming guys open. Mixing in the run.

Result…fewer holding penalties, fewer sacks, fewer 3 and outs. The Jets were bringing the heat quickly with delayed DB blitzes often, but the ball was out of Dak’s hand so quickly. Romo commented on it at length. Getting through his reads and the ball is out. Not holding the ball waiting for someone to get open, which means you are often looking at them too long.

Mike isn’t just protecting the defense; this offense protects the OL because even when we’ve had to play backups in the first two games, the ball is out so fast that the pass rush is ineffective.

I love it!

Cowboys personnel improvements from last season:

-Added Cooks
-Tolbert ready after rookie season
-Ferguson more mature
-Schoonover (better blocking)
-Deuce
-Gallup healthier
-Finally dumped plodding Elliott

Dallas offense has also enjoyed two total shutdown games from the defense and ***9 turnovers***

Far too early to compare offensive approach.

as of right now?

give me mccarthy...if youre up 24-10 in the 4th with 6 minutes left bleeding the clock down is the number 1 goal

Kellens situational play calling left alot to be desired...he def wouldve aired it out and took 35 seconds off the clock
