This is the difference.if KM was calling this game we would have turned the ball over multiple times imo.
We didn’t need to force anything and McCarthy knew it.

The play-calling is commensurate with the strategy we are using on defense. While we had two separate gameplans before, we seem to be developing an identity and unified strategy. The offense and defense are working together. This so what Mike was talking about when he said he wanted to keep the defense fresh. This type of play calling.
I hope everyone can now see the difference between a real system and playcaller vs what we have had here since Parcells.....So refreshing! Gotta luv it!
Hebert continues to get a pass despite his failings.I'm actually surprised the fanbase seems to get it. McCarthy kept his horses in the barn for this one. He was basically calling the game to not lose it on offense. Low risk plays all game long.
The defense looks better for several reasons. One of which is that the offense is protecting it. No turnovers, short fields and lots of possession time.
And yeah, the Chargers look a little Cowboyish. I wouldn't be surprised if they were near the league leaders in points scored and still finish 9-8.
Loved Romo’s insightful commentary. Have no idea why people give him a hard time. Dude is a smart game analyzer. This is the west coast offense. Lots of short, quick passes, YAC, scheming guys open. Mixing in the run.
Result…fewer holding penalties, fewer sacks, fewer 3 and outs. The Jets were bringing the heat quickly with delayed DB blitzes often, but the ball was out of Dak’s hand so quickly. Romo commented on it at length. Getting through his reads and the ball is out. Not holding the ball waiting for someone to get open, which means you are often looking at them too long.
Mike isn’t just protecting the defense; this offense protects the OL because even when we’ve had to play backups in the first two games, the ball is out so fast that the pass rush is ineffective.
I love it!
Yup, I don't miss KM at all. I totally liked MM's Texas Coast offense. The Chargers look eerily like the Cowboys of years past... great stats, but ends up in a loss
Reminds me a bit of Norv Turner's offense scheme. This so what Mike was talking about when he said he wanted to keep the defense fresh. This type of play calling.

I'm a fan, that's how football should be played, like a chess match. Not a fan of wide open offenses. I lovea aggressive defense and smart offense.I'm not a fan. But you have to play to your quarterback's strengths and within his limitations. And with a great defense, it might be enough.
Moore cared more about stats than being a proper game manager. McCarthy is seasoned in this stuff. It’s ugly and beautiful at the same time
Agreed. Kellen Moore is Garrett protege. If you've seen one, you've seen 'em both.TIME of POSSESSION
Cowboys 42 minutes, Jets 17 minutes
Chargers 28 minutes, Titans 36 minutes
Both games, Cowboys and Chargers went into the half with just a one score lead.
That’s the difference to me. Chargers are 0-2. Putting up fantasy football numbers but not winning games. Kellen Moore is headed to the same offensive coordinator fate as Jason Garrett If they can’t turn it around quickly.

Good one.Kellen Garrett said he couldn't get Ceedee the ball because he had to take what the defense gave. Smh no way your number 1 shouldn't get targets
Comments like these make no sense without looking at the bigger picture. Now granted I somewhat agree he gets put on a high pedestal however that's from his natural abilities.Hebert continues to get a pass despite his failings.

Our Red zone problems today had something to do with that Jets defenseRed zone O was terrible but MM is light years ahead of Kellen in managing a game and playing complimentary football
