Well alright. A private workout scheduled.

Next month Shaheenmania might be running wild on you, brother.

Kinda surprised. Since McClay took over scouting there seems to be less interest in small school guys

The big school preference is not a Will McClay thing - it's a Jason Garrett thing.

McClay said as much a couple of weeks ago during an interview on Sirius XM NFL Radio. McClay said that Garrett prefers a focus on large school players because of those types of players having played in the big, bright lights, and they would be much less fazed by going to the Cowboys when they have already been somewhat in the spotlight.

I won't be shocked when TJ watt comes in to visit. They can say he's a 3-4 guy all day but we drafted rail thin Gregory and Watt has 20 pounds on him. It's crazy how many directions we could go in.

Which is why i would not be surprised if O.J. Howard was tthe first round pick if he is still on the board. Cowboys have spent second round picks on TE's when Witten was younger.
I would love for him to be a Cowboy, but I don't think he even sees the 2nd half of round 1. He may not even get out of the top 10 the way he's been trending post combine.

Apparently when Shaheen came out of high school he was 210 lbs and was looking to be recruited as a basketball player. His dad later convinced him to concentrate on football.

Kazee's a Mel sleeper. Says someone's gonna get a CB in round 4 that out plays some of the 2nd round corners.

Slot guy only though. I'm not that interested.

4) Tarell Basham/DE/Ohio: Basham is another athletic pass rusher with versatility, but the big attraction here is growth potential. Just under 6-foot-4, the belief is Basham can pack on pounds while keeping his speed (4.7s in the 40 at the combine) and lateral quickness (4.35s in the short shuttle). As proven during Senior Bowl week, he can rush the quarterback out of a three-point stance or standing over tackle. Basham has already worked out with the New England Patriots and has a workout with the Dallas Cowboys scheduled.

3) Jordan Willis/DE/Kansas State: Teams love versatile athletes who can rush the passer. Willis proved he was the premiere athlete at the defensive end position during the combine when he timed 4.53s in the 40 and 6.85s in the short shuttle as well as touching 39 inches in the vertical jump after weighing in at 255 pounds. He then went on and showed his versatility at the Wildcats pro day, looking flawless in both defensive line and linebacker drills. I think it will be a stretch for Willis to end up in the late part of Round 1 but would expect him to be off the board during the top half of the second frame. Willis worked out for the Jacksonville Jaguars this week, will be working out for the Philadelphia Eagles and Tampa Bay Bucsin the coming weeks and has a visit to Tampa Bay on his schedule. The Miami Dolphins and Dallas Cowboys are also showing a lot of interest in Willis
