Twitter: Players speaking out on coaching "Totally unprepared, etc"

The coaches have sucked hard this season. Kellen is a god awful playcaller. McCarthy is worthless and was carried by Rodgers his whole career. Nolan might be one of the worst DC's of all time.

Poor play or not, these coaches are the worst.
Sure, the coaching has been bad, but for once, let's start with the playing, then go up the line to the coaching and FO.

This was a story about players blaming the coaching, while most are playing very poorly.

So, still no players are looking in the mirror..? NONE? Wow.. I find that hard to believe.

I also find it hard to believe the coaches are leaving that "unprepared". Gimme a break. Its FOOTBALL!! Most of em have been playing since Pop warner. Supposed to be professional athletes.. Hell, I think my son's last team could beat this squad. At least have more heart.

Aldon Smith has hit a wall it looks like after a fast start. But I see holding at the top of the picture. In fact, I saw a lot of holding all night not called, I am not talking about the shirty grabby stuff, I cam talking about tackling defenders out in the open.

You can't see holding from a still picture. It's a motion penalty.

Dalton surprised me.......I actually spent all week pimping him coz I certainly thought he would play better.

Dalton will be OK in time, no QB would do anything behind four backups when two are UDFA. I think that was his biggest problem and just the lack of reps, backup QBs get most of their reps with starting WRs in the offseason and Dalton didn't get one.

But at least it shut up the Dak Sucks crowd.

He shouldn't last long. ARod had his *** booted out of GB for a reason.

Im such a sucker. I remember when it happened and people on here talking about getting MM. I was completely against it. Then time past a day he "studied" for a season. He was re dedicated and an analytics guru. Lol I fell for it, in part because I thought any change from JG was positive.

Remember CV19 cost them OTAs, preseason games, and most training camp. My guess he's STILL learning a lot about most if not all players. What they do best, what they don't do best, how they respond to this or that, not easy. Fans forget Garrett could have told you back of each player's hand, that's well he knew this team and rightly so after 9 years. So my is he's trying to EVERY player a clean slate and go from there. But I definitely expect we'll see him making lots of changes after the season.
Really good post.

I love it when the players come out blaming their crappy azz play on the coaches.

But, you know what? Maybe they don't listen or want to learn something new...just btich and moan about how embarrassing they are, so they blame the new staff. Well, maybe the new staff is going to let them embarrass their selves. Let them cry like little *****es cause the coach's are mean to them and to smart, they make them cry.

Maybe that's the coach's plan for next season, get rid of some of these high payed players that are not hungry anymore.

AS long as jones has owned the team and hasn't developed a network of who the "hot" up and coming coaches are is troublesome. Look at who San Francisco hired,Rams,Miami, Cardinals . Jones thought Garrett was that guy ten years ago.

Nope.

One of advantages of being a head coach in Green Bay is that it is literally 2+ hours from anywhere and no member of the Wisconsin press corps is ever going to report anything too negative about the "community owned" Packers. It is more like being a college head coach.

I mean do folks really think Favre started doing things like sending his dick picks only when he was traded to the Jets?

Or might it be that in NYC that sort of stuff gets reported, while in GB it gets overlooked?

Anyway, during his 13 years in GB, Big Mac's press conferences mostly consisted of softball questions lobbed at him while the compliant press kept telling the fans that beating the mighty Bears, Lions, and Bears and winning the NFC North most years should be good enough for them.

I was very interested to see how Big Mac would handle the closer scrutiny of being the coach of the Cowboys.

I am not surprised that closer scrutiny has exposed his flaws.
If you think the national media people aren't drilling down when a high profile player gets into it with his HC, we live in different countries. I wasn't talking about the local media that shows up for free brats.

It was never together!
This is very true. I feel Romo and Dak have covered up a lot of the talent deficiencies and organizational dysfunction. Without Romo and Dak we're a 2-14 to 6-10 team year in and out. If Dak leaves us it will suck but it may be the best thing for us. If we string out 6 or 7 2-14 seasons then maybe that'll break the delusion of the Jones family has of being football guys.

McCarthy sucks. This staff should be fired immediately after the season. You can tell listening to McCarthy that he has no clue whats wrong or how to fix it. This was a bad hire that needs to be moved on from.

I agree, but you would think that there would be SOME improvement from week 1 to week 6. I really haven't seen it. Sure some players are hurt now vs week 1, but coaching, scheme and generally seeming like the players know what they are doing are not progressing.

So did ATL and a couple of other teams.

In Booger's defense, I do not know of any HC candidate that presented himself as well as Garrett. Football family, Ivy Leaguer, good back up QB, had rings and had an at ease about him that exuded confidence. Garrett was the total package and that's exactly what he was, a package. But when they opened it, there wasn't what they thought was inside.

I actually don't blame Garrett. Booger wanted him so he could groom him and claim him as his own but he didn't groom him. Garrett knew he was Robert Redford in "The Candidate" at the end when he delivers that line "what do I do now"? The alarms were going off and Booger ignored them. Garrett streaks off to hang on Johnson's boat for advice and then hangs with Coach K because he knows he doesn't know enough himself, he's been fast tracked without the benefit of learning as he went.

The signs were there, he needed help. The Rams did the right thing with McVay because they surrounded him with experienced coaches.

Coaching absolutely was part of the issue, and now we don’t punt from the 40 anymore or kick field goals on 4th inches anymore.

Well, now it’s fixed since we brought in a championship winning HC and a real staff. So you can just enjoy first place and enjoy the ride. It’s been pretty cool, so far.
