Not hurting other players right now but by game 1, players like Witten, Tyron, Jaylon and Lee will be getting edgy. Maybe you were too busy coaching pee wee but back when Emmitt held out, after 2 games Charles Haley put his helmet through the wall and said sign him!
I think this is a bit different. I know we need Zeke, but we have played without him before and I think we will be better prepared if he does miss time. I want him back more than most around here.

The types of people who wouldn't have fit in with Michael Irvin's type of leadership don't care, but those guys who want to win sure do care...

He's hurting the team.

Dak has been making pennies, and Zekes about to affect his money! You don't think Dak might have a little frustration?

What about HOF players like Witten? You think he cares??

Zeke is lost right now, but I think he's scared to lose face.

If I were Jerry I'd figure out a way to give Zeke a bonus of perhaps $7M this year for him to just play on his contract - can that be done?

Copy that C-C ,yet, that elusive much coveted Feudian Dean's list casing-liner thingy award remains ,,,er,,, well Elusive,,, as anybody whose spent very much time around "Sales Personal" hold that salient collective aspect pertaining to that particular cross section of driven individuals in a commonly measured & duly adjusted view
( poorly, is my preferred word, based from my long& varied transacted bizness encounters with them,,,,:lmao: don't forget my Elder Brother,I'd worked for several years installing those trailer house two-piecers those better dressed, yet twice as stressed, sales personal who'd suckered the uninitiated fish into swallowing( they'd gig there own family members& brag about their sales commission & before that it was those weasely oil field production chemical sales rat faceso_O
You are not describing professional salespeople, I am talking about people that called on business people and understood the meaning of a true sales professional, one that helps business people arrive at a decision that is on their own best interest. These people cultivated relationships and continued to call on their clients and proved to be a valuable resource for them.

Professional sales is not manipulation or taking advantage of the prospect because the ultimate goal is a customer that continues doing business with you. I am not talking about wham bam, thank you mam type selling.

Most fans seem to think that a Zeke like holdout will hurt his rep with his teammates. Not true. Most stud players, which is just about every pro player, have egos the size of Texas. They ALL want to get paid. Zeke's holdout might be hurting the fans, but fans will come crawling back as soon as he scores a TD. The team chemistry will only suffer if a teammate starts acting like a fan and not like a player.
where does the fan's part play here?

Did I say non commissioned? You threw sales professionals in with all sales, there is a marked difference. I have never worked with direct to consumer sales people so I don't have a baseline on that.

No, what pissed me off is they first rolled it out years ago, it was great. Then they did away with it for several years, I was disappointed but it was forgivable. Then they made a big hoopla about how they were bringing back all the “classics” for good. I couldn’t have been more excited!

So for what seems like several years I gave Whataburger my business on every late night drunken excursion I had. I never even thought of cheating on them. My typical order was the A-1, a Justaburger and several breakfast items usually totaling in the mid $20 range.

But then.....then they decide they are doing away with it and once again make a big deal of it but at least I was given notification. I even went out of my way (sober mind you) a couple times to get the A-1 and celebrate it in all it’s glory. I figured maybe they got cross ways with A-1 or something because there’s no good reason to get rid of one of their most popular burgers.

Fast forward another ~2 years and they, once again, are bringing it back. This time it’s even more over the top with billboards, radio, etc. I couldn’t wait and got it the first day it was available. Fast forward another year or two, my wife is driving and I’m sloppy in the passenger seat at about midnight just craving an A-1 after a concert. We roll up, I place my huge order and throw in the A-1 at the end only to be told they didn’t have it. I was shocked and po’d, figured they ran out of sauce so I asked “so you mean you ran out of sauce”? and the lady said “no, we’re not carrying it anymore”.

No warning, no good bye, no nothing. Jerks just pulled it from the menu like it was never there. I was so po’d, I told my wife to just drive away. I went to bed starving but at least I saved a few thousand calories. So that’s when I had enough and banned them until they brought it back.

Well, they brought it back about a year ago with little notice this time. Had it a couple times. So the last time I knew I was going to a concert I called the local store the day before just to make sure they still had it since I hadn’t been in a few months. The lady said “we may have it tomorrow if we still have the sauce”. I’m like ***?! So I ask “are you running out of sauce”? she said “no, once it’s gone we won’t be serving the burger anymore”.

Again, no warning, no nothing. Anyways, to make a long story longer. I called on the way back from the concert and sure enough they had run out so off to In N Out it was. Screw them, I may be done permanently with their shady crap, plus add in the fact that they’re not really “Texas” anymore so they can take that A-1 next time it comes out and shove it up their keister.
I'm truly sorry to hear that. Sounds like you need to subscribe to Whataburger's news letter so you'll know when your A-1 burger is back again.

Quality of In N Out burgers and toppings is better. Whataburger has more on the menu. You also have to ask In N Out to do their fries extra crispy unless you like soggy fries.
I don't know anything about In N Out but Whataburger's quality can vary depending on the location. My local Whataburger is excellent.

His holdout doesn't affect me in the tiniest bit. He lives his life, I live mine. The Cowboys were around before Zeke, and they will be after his departure. Get your money, son.

NFL contracts contain options for the team to continue the player from year to year. The terms of the contract are not being broken if a team decides to not exercise the option i.e. cut the player.

It's essentially no different than having a buyers option on a house or piece of real estate.
That’s not true. The CBA just allows for teams to cut players without having to honor any non-guaranteed money and the only ramifications are prorated bonus money accelerating into that (or the next depending on the timing) cap year. Nowhere else in the real world do employers have that luxury. And it’s not equitable unless you believe the CBA negotiations are equitable. If that’s the case I have some oceanfront land to sell you.

In my business--I run one-- I honor the contracts I sign. Believe me, sometimes that causes serious inconvenience, or difficulty.

I can imagine getting half-way through a database development contract and then "holding out" for more $. This hold out crap -- when under two years of remaining contract...is more than selfish--it's flat unethical...and not the way business works.

Now imagine being halfway through a database development contract and the other party voids it to save themselves money. Then imagine you have no recourse and just have to accept it.

NFL owners do that every year and no one seems to mind.
