Which players have you wished had been Cowboys? I always respected/ admired some players and wished they had been cowboys. Some examples are Ronnie Lott, Brian Dawkins, and Ray Lewis. Which ones if any do you guys have?

Jerry Rice. Without question.

The Cowboys had actually targeted him, but the Niners traded and jumped in front of them to pick him in the draft (per Gil Brandt).

I think more relevant would be players we could have had a chance at that we wanted at the time...

Wanting a player later for their production makes it easy to cherry-pick...

3. Ed Reed, what would things have been like with Ed.
2. Chris Johnson, if Jerry Jones looked at the bigger picture, where would Cowboys been by now.
1. Randy Moss, just imagine if Cowboys drafted him with Michael Irvin on the team. Can you say Superbowl. Troy Aikman and Emmitt Smith. WOW!

I always was, am, and will be a Bree Favre fan .

And Charles Woodson (as irritating as I think that whole Packers secondary is now) I really really liked coming out of college and always have for some reason.

Ed Reed for sure. As great as Roy was his first 2 seasons, imagine how much better Reed might have been learning from Darren Woodson early in his career because Ed is actually a student of the game, unlike Roy.

How about Dan Marino at #23 instead of Jim Jeffcoat.

Marino would have trashed Hogeboom in the first practice and Pelluer never would have been drafted in 1984. White had a good year in 1983, but I think Landry would have started Marino the next year.

Just imagine 1984-85, with Marino at the peak of his powers and guys like Dorsett, Hill, Cosbie along with Too Tall, White, Lockhart and Thurman's thieves on defense!

Then in 1986, along comes a guy named Herschel Walker and here we go again....

Junior Seau ....

He went 12 picks ahead of Emmitt so we couldn't have gotten him, and I wouldn't trade Emmitt for anything. But I always loved Seau's attitude, his ability, and the way he seemed like he was in on absolutely EVERY PLAY. I would have loved to have seen the star on his helmet.

I agree with Ed Reed and Randy Moss. Those were to guys we had a shot at but didn't pull the trigger.
