The players for the COWBOYS don't care about winning as much as back then.... because of the cowboy culture.

There's some other teams though...with different culture....that DO care about winning as much as guys 30 years ago

I think seeing phil and wash in champ game , and dallas not even in the playoffs was too much for Irvin.
He thought deion was the choice, but deion is not ready to be a nfl coach, and I dont think he wants to be HC in NFL right now.

Shot is low key, just a guy who was there, but I think he may do ok.
Jerry isnt going to hire another Jimmy, he passed on BB, pete carroll, Harbaugh,paytoin etc.
For one thing Jerry is a cheapo scrooge, he has to pay HC out of his pocket, and he just like everything else, just
doesnt want to pay more thant 6 mil a year.

BB was making 20 mil a year in NE, and no way would jerry pay that.

That was some rant, so much so that I'm surprised he still has a job. I understand being upset at the direction of the organization, but sheesh! Not sure if he's going to survive such candor.

Having said that, I agree with everything he said.

The good news I'm taking from Schotty's HC announcement is that very few pundits and such think this was a good hire...so Schottenheimer AND JJ should be carrying gigantic chips on their shoulders, Dak too. Many fans and football aficionados have lost all faith in the Cowboys organization and team...so if they can translate this chip to the team, they have a chance to turn things around. I still think this is going to end in disaster with Schotty, and if so, let it be epic....just go 1-15 and get the #1 pick. No more mediocrity, just be bad...or make the damn playoffs.
