Deion Sanders does not need the Dallas Cowboys. Get over it. No one cares you’re sick. And no one here cares about the Commanders and Eagles. Irvin, you can afford a professional hair stylist. Part with a few dollars. And stop saying “we” in deference to the Cowboys. You are not a member of the Dallas Cowboys organization. How the hell does Caitlin Clark get in the conversation?
You’re as big of IDIOT as there’s ever been in the two decades I’ve been on this board. You’re either a troll, a kid, ir you’re just a speciallllllllllll type of stupid. And I do mean special like short bus freaking special .

The Playmaker is as much Cowboy as there’s ever been. He’s shed blood , sweat, and tears for this organization! He embodies what it is to be a Cowboy. Without him Jerry has ZERO superbowls. Without him this franchise has 2 superbowls. And those are from the days where they didn’t even allow black folks to play all the positions. So just shut up and move on!

You know why we don’t have Deion? Because our QB is too stupid to be able to learn a new system. (Are y'all related?)

Carry on down the road Troll!!!

He needs to put down the coke....JJ took care of him and now he's throwing darts, trying to get a few clicks. I get their frustration, but some of these former players coming out against their team is disappointing. Instead of giving fans something positive, they join the rest of the mediots. Irvin has a checkered past, Jerry could have blacklisted him....Instead he's always supported him and welcomed him to the Star.....88 showing his true colors.
I wish all the old players would boycott Jerry and the team. If Irvin, Aikman, Smith, aware, Romo, Whitten, all decided to stay away and start talking like this, Jerry might get the truth through his head.

He is speaking like the majority of Cowboys fans feel!

As a kid I was lucky enough to grow up watch greats as Roger Staubach, Tony Dorsett, Jay Novacek Moose Johnston. As a young adult It was Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith, Michael Irvin. It was these teams that made the Cowboys AMERICA'S TEAM!! It was seeing players play with the heart and determination, and attitude that they knew they were the best TEAM on the field. I've been a member of this forum since the beginning in 2004 and came over from the old Cowboy Forum. As an everyday fan I purchased season tickets since the old stadium. I owned 2 tickets behind the Cowboys bench on the 50-yard line. When the new stadium was built, I couldn't afford those same tickets and had to move. I was making medium income level and the tickets in the new stadium were out of my budget. I was able to keep buy seat options and row 1 on the 50-yard line but I had to move up several sections. Several years later I purchased two more tickets right next to mine so we could all go as a family. My three kids all grew up as HUGE Cowboy fans and we would drive from New Mexico to Arlington to support our team. It was family time and memories that will always be priceless. Sadly, they are all 24-35 years old. This means they never got to witness the great Cowboys teams play. Like most Cowboys fans who are 35 and younger (and many on this forum), the America's Team nickname was earned my players they never saw play. They never got to witness Troy, Emmitt and Michael. They have never experienced a Cowboy Team in a time where players played for each other instead of a paycheck. Those days are LONG GONE. Today Cowboys play for the name title and the money.

Yes, Michael Irvin obviously has made bad choices after football. But he hit the nail on the head with this criticism of Jerry and entitlement these players have. He is exactly right that these players won't respect Shotty or anyone within the organization. This team needs a total rebuild of the coaching staff from the bottom up. Someone to change the stale stench and culture Jerry has allowed for the past 10 years. Obviously, that's not going to happen until Jerry Passes on. The few here want to dog on Michael are all probably under 35 and never witnessed the passion and heart that Michel and the 90's Cowboys played with. It's easy to not understand or give Mike credit for what his words mean. Mike is the biggest Cowboys Homer and has been for years. His opinion is valid and should be respected.

Mike is sick of covering for Jerry and sick of trying to preach hope for a team that has an owner who is too egotistical to get out of the damn way. After 25 years of being a Cowboys Season Ticket holder, I too am sick of Jerry and his ********. I have come to the realization that the Cowboys are a toy to him, and he could care less about us fans, hiring a coach that will hold players accountable, or putting together a team of players like Troy, Emmitt, Michael. Its because of players like those that the Cowboys are known as America's Team. So, when Troy and Micheal speak out, better believe they deserve the respect to at least be listened too.

If Jones would hire a coach with just half the heart of Michael Irvin, we'd be set. You could hear the hurt in his voice, and see it in his eyes. I'm just glad l got witness the days of Aikmam, lrvin, and Smith. Jerry Jones and his EGO have ran this once respected franchise into the ground. There's not one valid excuse for 30 years of failure. I wish Jerry would sell the team.

Continuity of the positive kind is a great thing. Continuity of the negative kind like decades long post season failures is a bad thing. Yes Jerry still makes decisions as a GM and final ones as owner, but he is just the old leaky roof and not the solid framework or foundation of the house of Cowboys. That would be McClay the defacto GM and VP of Player Personnel. Jerry and Stephen are the willing stooges so they can remain involved with all their other business ventures and stay active in their respective playgrounds. McClay has the biggest decision making influence on the Jones royalty and he historically appears to be 50-50 progress results guy. And now the key rivals in our division have passed us by.

Is your name "No one" because you certainly do not speak for the rest of us... When you have the heart of a lion like MI, and have won 3 Superbowls, you can lecture him on how or how not to motivate men, ok?

I don't think the players of today care about winning as much as they did back then. The sad thing, the last time the Cowboys were in an NFCCG, Irvin was starting!!
if they are led properly they do, but this organization has no heart anymore, just paychecks.

Dak, Micah, CeeDee, the so called "leaders" of this team need to listen to this rant twice daily from now until September and take Irvin up on his challenge.

There are some people on here that have an attitude that I could never get behind of. They think that once someone is no longer on the roster that they are no longer a Cowboy, and then a subset of those people stop caring for that player. To me, if you were memorable while playing for this organization, you will always be a Dallas Cowboy. Heck, George Teaque will always be loved as a Cowboy just for putting the hit on TO. ;)
Hell, Herschel Walker is still loved as a Cowboy. and an Olympian!!! haha

Obviously you never watched him play …. I’ve never seen a player play with more heart than him… he is exactly right … the players are not held accountable and not to the same standards as when he played. If you don’t know … you don’t know
Irvin is my favorite player ever

Good stuff
As The Playmaker reported, we need to get back the glory, referring to the glory days of yesteryear when the Cowboys had an elite offense, a powerhouse.

1. QB, 1st player in 1989 draft in Aikman
2. Michael Irvin, high 1st round pick in 1988
3. Emmitt Smith, superstar RB, a consistent home run hitter, drafted in 1st round 1990
4. Alvin Harper, WR 1st round pick 1991
5. Darryl Johnston, FB, 2nd round pick 1989
6. Jay Novacek, TE, best free agent pick up
7. Kelvin Martin, 3rd receiver who always seemed to find an opening

-- The 2024 Cowboys had an overrated, over-paid QB who does not have "it."
-- A star WR in Cee Dee Lamb
-- A good undrafted RB, a single hitter in Dowdle and no home run hitter, as the team ignored the need for a star RB
-- Unreliable 2nd wide receiver
-- A Hunter Luepke whom we rarely saw with the ball
-- An underperforming 3rd year TE, who was not getting open, not getting separation like Novacek.
-- Unreliable 2nd and 3rd wide receivers

Irvin misses facts that his team had superstars on offense, everywhere. The talent differential from his glory days' teams and this team is enormous and no coaching can overcome the lack of talent.

This team needs an explosive RB and at least one receiver who can come in as a rookie and get open. Gallop and T Williams did that as rooks. Tolbert has been a big disappointment, even past his rookie year. I have no problem drafting RB, WR in 1st two rounds, but both must be explosive players. Ashton Jeanty would be a rocket engine for the offense.

Also, another point must be made: Jimmy Johnson brought in free agents and made trades to make the team better. The following starting players on the 1992 championship team were not drafted by the Cowboys: DE Haley, DT Casillas, FS: T. Everrett, SS James Washington, G John Gesek, TE Novacek. Mark Tuinei the LOT and guard Nate Newton were free agent signees by Tom Landry.

Now, the team must do better with 2nd round picks. Need immediate contributors, who are healthy, free of drug history, big-game performers, no projects. Plug and play.
