all those tools that hated T.O are now chearing their little balls off for HIm.
Tool, eh? For those who don't forget simply because a player has changed uniforms can state that the cheering part's a lie and always will be.

I don't get this holier than thou thought process.. PacMan is not a role model,, no player in the NFL is a role model.. I don't care what he does when he is off the feild.. that is none of my business.. or yours.. he doesn't represent you or your belief system.. he is a football player.. that's it.

But the NFL cares. That's why PacMan Jones isn't playing now - because the NFL cares about its image.
And Jerry Jones cares. Otherwise, Randy Moss would likely have been a Cowboy from Day One. And who knows if the situation with Michael Irvin had never happened that the Cowboys wouldn't have won a Super Bowl by now.

Second, what belief system are you talking about? I would think most of us, if not all of us, would be of the belief system that holds you shouldn't get arrested for criminal acts.

I have been a fan of the cowboys for a very long time.. I watched the Hollywood's, the Irvins, all the so called thugs and law breakers... and i cheared for every last one of them.. without exception, because they were Dallas Cowboys. I love the team.. I love the star.. and no one player is going to change that.

If Jones wants to risk HIS money.. and HIS rep.. and HIS team to give this guy a shot.. so be it.. i will stand back and cheer for him, just like i have for everyone that as worn the star.

So I assume that means you also won't criticize Jerry Jones if he brings Pac Man in and Pac Man does something as foolish as commits a heinous crime, causing reporters to camp out at Valley Ranch asking other Cowboys questions about Pac Man and adding another element of distraction that could affect this team's play?

and besides.. Pacman may be just what this team needs.. someone that is not so choir boy.. like Williams and Ware.

So not having choir boys means we have to have guys in trouble with the law?

Thugs are people, too. And our criminal justice system gives plenty of them 2nd and 3rd and even 4th chances. Most of them aren't worth it. But some are. You won't know unless you give them a chance. Or 2......or sometimes 3.....maybe even 4. :)

Can he cover? YES
Can return kicks and punts? YES
Does he have the potential to do these at a pro-bowl level? YES
Is he going to cost alot of money or picks to bring in? NO
Will he be brought in on a very short leash with a lot of conditions? YES

I was on the fence about this but you just convinced me. Bring him in and decorate his contract with incentives.

i dont give a damn what pacman does off the field. get him in dallas because no matter what you say, he will make this a more talented team

You're so right, because what a player does off the field has no relevence on what he does on the field. Like, just because he's a self-centered punk off the field, doesn't mean he will be one on the field.
  • Antonio Bryant has been through how many teams now? Even the Browns, who were desperate for a quality WR a few yrs. ago, dropped Bryant like a hot rock after a +1,000 yd. season. Bryant's 2002 PFW draft summary: Unless Bryant really grows up & matures, he may never realize his potential.
  • Derek Ross was a quality corner from Ohio St. who could have given us the compliment to TNew, but again, was a problem looking for a place to happen. PFW 2002: Lacks accountability. Has had off-the-field problems with regard to academics & the legal system. Spent some time in jail after being picked up for speeding being charged w/driving w/out a license and giving a police offecer false information. It goes on, but why bother. Ross was released from the Cowboys after several off & on-the-field problems.
But, you know, the more I look up these players, the more I realize your kind doesn't care if we bring in the D-Block from San Quentin. As long as we win, who cares how many murderers, pimps, & scum of the earth we bring in.

I know one guy who does. Wade Phillips. He knows that you have to have men of character when you fighting for a playoff win, and every play has to be played as if it's your last.....not like a Pacman, who becomes a matador when it comes time to give up your body for the team. Trash like that has no concept of team. All they know is two letters that make up the word team--ME!

You bring in enough of those kind, and pretty soon every body is pointing their finger at everybody else. Because, after all, it can't be MY fault. I've been spending my whole life making a career out of assigning blame to everybody but me, & I'm not going to change now.

What is sad about this post is that most of you are of the X generation, and you are more like Pacman than you know. That is sad.....and a little scary.

They are desperate young people, who are not necessarily all thugs. It's not fair to lump their desperation for a winning team with the mentality of an Adam Jones.
