No good can of it. Eventually, he's going to want a big contract and we are in the same place as before. I don't want him. Rather draft some talented younger guys.

Anthony Henry is 30, and his lack of speed means he will likely decline much quicker than most corners

By that time, we can re-sign Pacman to a starters deal if he works out and release Henry

If Pacman plays well enough for us to warrant a big contract from us or another team, then that means plenty good came from it.

I completely agree. I don't want this trash representing my team.

I'd rather lose in the Super bowl with character than win with this guy playing for the cowboys.

Not me!!!! We've won many SB's with plenty of law breakers and I luv all of them... :starspin

NOW... when he celebrates by shooting up a strip club and slappin a few biotches and hoes.... then I will be upset....

but only for a minute or so :laugh2:

Alright,
Refuse to believe that sports, music and the media have any influence on your kids.
The data is out there and has been for years...
Everything we see and hear affects us and molds us....
But,if you would rather win football games than do the right thing go ahead...
The right decision usually isn't quite as fun anyway....
I'm not telling anyone else what to think...
Just stating my opinion....
That is the great thing about this country....
Thanks,

I don't understand some here. You would think this team is your family.
I'm a fan too, but of a football team their not my relatives or close friends.

Lets look at it another way, on one hand we take all thugs and win The S.B. ,on the other hand we have all Boy Scouts and don't win a playoff game.

I know ,I know some want the best of both worlds here . Choir boys who can play football. Sorry guys and gals ,tough to do in this day and age.

So to answer the question, If Pac Man can cover and help us win ,
Lets Get Him!!!!!!!!!!

I'll worry about his morals after he pawns his SB ring.

I'm all for signing this guy. He is not my favorite player and never will be. I don't like the guy at all. He is an idiot and we all know it. He has all the talent in the world and he just might throw it away. If he wants to revive his career its here in dallas.

All this win with pac man loose with respect bs you guys are throwing around is ridiculous. I'm sure there are a lot of champs who are A holes, and who knows what else, that you don't even know about. Sign him and cut him at first sign of being out of line.

But we really are beating a dead horse lol

Refuse to believe that sports, music and the media have any influence on your kids.
Not at all. I have no doubt that these things can have a very adverse effect on your kids if you don't do your job as a parent.

Teach your kid right from wrong, monitor the kind of kids they hang out with, and tell them why the people they see on TV and listen to on their music player should not be imitated or viewed as role models.

Don't blame the outside world for your own failures as a parent. The reality is that there will ALWAYS be some kind of outside influence that can potentially screw with your kids' judgment.

I grew up worshipping Michael Irvin and listening to gangsta rap, from age SEVEN on up. I turned out just fine (really, I did :)).

People always love to say 'I did this and I turned out just fine.'
I guess you will never know how you could have turned out without those obstacles.
Fine is a relative term.
Again,I am not attacking anyone....
Just offering another perspective.

They weren't "obstacles" for me because they didn't influence my attitude or my behavior. I never emulated the stuff they did or talked about doing, simply because I knew better. I had a strong foundation built by my parents to thank for that.

Yes, "fine" is a relative term, as is "obstacle". Anything can be an "obstacle" for your kid if you don't prepare him/her to deal with it.

The world is full of potential obstacles... if you think you can protect your kids from every one they might face, you'll soon learn differently.

I realize this and it is the exact reason why we shouldn't get Pac-Man.
Why put up another moral roadblock?
We can take the high road on this one....
Also, please don't take these posts as a personal afront on you.I am sure you are a nice guy and so am I..
I appreciate your views and may learn a thing or two from them myself .....

Glad you said that.

We can have opposing views, but can express them in a freindly manner.

After all, that's part of why we're here, right?

No offense taken.

You asked, "why put up another moral roadblock?" And my answer is that it's not a roadblock if you raise your kids the right way. Do that, and your kid can be tempted by any number of things they hear or see on TV/music/media and they'll still make the right choices.

Jerry Jones wants to win football games. It's not the Boy Scouts, it's the Dallas Cowboys and the NFL. His responsibility and his focus is on getting the Cowboys to the Super Bowl, as it should be. If that means bringing in Pacman, so be it.

A kid who makes negative choices based on something he heard in a 2Pac song, for example, was doomed to make similar mistakes even if the 2Pac song never existed. His parents didn't raise him correctly, and the world has FAR too many potential "roadblocks" like that song that COULD have a negative effect on him.

I totally understand where you are coming from.
Sounds like you are a good guy doing your best to be a good parent.
I feel that I also am trying to be the best parent I can be.
Unfortunately, many children today don't have the benefit of good, moral, fair parents...
So lets tell them it isn't cool to act like Pac-man...
Lets tell them you can't act in that manner and still reap the rewards....
When you look at it that way we all bear responsibility to those children...
If Pac-man gets away with it and still gets paid then it must be o.k. for them as well....
I still believe that it takes a village to raise a child and that our village is the USA..
The scary part is that fewer villagers believe that they have a responsibility these days......
Again not picking on anyone(I am far from perfect myself).
Well I am off to work...
Take care all

And at the end of the day the parent could have done the best job in the world and it still didnt matter. Because more often than not we are our environment our surroundings our life experiences. Its been that way... well... since the Homo Sapien Sapiens... ask the Neanderthals

I think most know where I stand on this, I don't care what his character is, long as he didn't kill/rape/or injure a child, and as long as we can sign him with an incentive strong contract that incourages him to keep straight, i'm all for getting the THUG, as you like to call him.

We at least need thuggish attitude on this team like Haley had, stop letting teams push us around.

Just like Doomsday, i'm not changing my mind either.
