I knew someone would correct me on that. Do you think that, if we had one pick, we would have chosen Ware over Spears? I don't. I think Billy wanted Spears and the only reason Jerry didn't play along was because he believed he had a shot at still getting Spears later in the 1st. That is why I hate when people think we got Spears instead of Jackson. We got Ware instead of Jackson.

If you think so.

:umm: ..... every time someone says something about J Jones all that comes to my mind is ..... what did we get from the Bills to trade out of the #1-22 pick in '04 and NOT pick Steven Jackson .....

This is ******** thinking IMO. You need to look at where we are at now. We have one of, if not THE, deepest stable of running backs in the league.

Who gives a **** about Holdout Jackson?

I guess seahawk fans are now learning what the term "pile magnet" means.

No we don't want him back, bet if you took away the defense and only had the O on the field he'd still find a way to get tackled

I am truly sorry for your burden. Julius Jones will make Shaun Alexander look like the toughest runner in the league. He actually makes your team worse by being on it.

I swear, I was his biggest defender coming out of college. I thought he was a great player on a bad Notre Dame team. I am now his biggest detractor -- he is just the most god-awful RB to ever put on cleats.

If it makes shaun look like the toughest runner in the league than I am scared. I saw what Shaun could do in the 05 season then....06 and 07 came around and I was like "what the F@@# happened here? If this is the case...well....I just dont know what to say but....thanks for your response....I need to wipe my tears and probably take a sleep break...if I dont I will probably drink out of depression. It is funny though...when Mike said the running game would improve..blah blah blah...and we got J Jones I was excited...seeing him in the preseason did remind me of Shaun...hopefully the energy will help that at Quest...if it doesn't ...well back to block one.

It was me, it was from NFL.com but nobody wanted to believe it.

And still don't. I say hire this scout.

From one of the many threads on the greatness of Julius Jones.

Once again from NFL.com on Julius at Notre Dame:

Not really a self-motivated player and does not take well to hard coaching … Is just a little too lazy digesting the playbook … Has adequate power, but not enough to take on defenders one-on-one … Not mentally tough, letting minor injuries linger … Just used on screens, as he is a marginal route runner who looks late for the ball … Needs to protect the ball better and show better anticipation for contact … Will sometimes run up the back of the offensive lineman, but has enough pick-and-slide agility to gain yards inside … Prone to go down from the initial tackle, especially when defenders attack his feet … Has good foot quickness and change-of-direction agility, but is not sudden off cuts, gathering himself before accelerating.

That's just because Holmgren is backing that Cheap (Ridiculously Rich Owner) Allen for not snagging a real WR and using that "don't worry fans, our running game will compensate" garbage. You know what Jennie, Jerry Jones is gonna go get who we need when we are ready to make a run, no one here will deny that. Owner down, this is the best organization to root for and this organization only deserves the best fans. I say you forget the Seahawks and comejoin your real friends. You're a Cowboy fan in my books and I'd be honored to have you abored. Do we all agree?:starspin
Yeah. I guess ole Mike had the same problem we did going out and getting that game changing play making WR.

We are done with him. But he might turn out just fine as a seahawk. All depends on how he comes out this season.

I was really excited when J. Jones came to Seattle. I understand that it is only preseason but golly...we have rookies in our running game that play like they are mad at the world.... J. Jones...not so much. Always been like that?

ESPN mentioned that someone needs to help loosen the Seahawks grip on the NFC West...well, J Jones might just jumpstart that process.

The one positive you can take is that JJ always plays well at QWest
