If we loss to Washington, the Whiners win one of their last 2 games( home vs Detroit, away vs Arizona) and Indianapolis beats Jacksonville at home we will have the 11th pick in the draft!!!!!

If we win vs Washington we could pick as high as the 17th pick.

Please, please Washington play your starters this Sunday vs US. Washington has no chance of beating us with mostly backups. The 11th pick in every round is statistically much better than the 15th-17th pick in every round.
So we can trade down and gather more draft picks

We're at 17 we might as well strongly consider trading down
Quarterback, wide receiver, running back, tight end, offensive line
Defensive line, linebacker, cornerback
If you don’t pick in the top eight you’re not going to get the best player at the position. You’ll be at the second level by then.

Well that’s how you remain perfectly within mediocrity. It’s our destiny.

I’ll betcha a beer teams like the Panthers and Patriots build their themselves back to contenders before Dallas plays in an NFC CG again.

I said 2 months ago we will win the last meaningless game of the season because that is what we do. Washington will treat the game like a preseason game and Dallas will go all out to win. And who will care?

I'd play Trey Lance the entire game assuring the Cowboys will have no chance of winning.
Agree.
But Jerruh loves pyrrhic victories like this would be. It might negate real achievement and harm long-term progress for the team, but he could sell the heck out of BS like "we beat a play-off team last January".

Also, we have so many fans that NEED to win these games to! Why? It hurts our future ability to field a strong team. Drafting 11 compared to 16-17 is huge.

11th pick puts in position for Jeanty. Anything later than that, he’s probably gone.
Anybody with a stubbed toe should be sitting out in this very important game.

Of course players want to win, but owners should be doing the smart thing and looking at what is best for the future of their teams. Washington for example may sit most of their starters for this very reason.

Every pick from 11-17 in the Jerry era:

Parsons
Lamb
Martin
Ware
Kevin Smith
Harper
Emmitt
Damn impressive. If Smith doesn’t get hurt he’s possibly headed to the HOF. Lamb could. All the others except Harper are very likely or in or will be one day.

How often has Jerry done that? I can’t remember many

The good thing is we have many needs we could literally take 4 spits and hit a need
The earlier we pick the more draft capital we have throughout the draft to trade up or down. This is not just the 11th pick in the 1st round. It is the 11th pick throughout the draft!

Losing this meaningless game could really help our future!

Our last 2, 1st round picks not so impressive. They were late 1st rounder too. Where you pick in the 1st round statistically matters!!!

Yup it's going to get ugly, they'll put up 40 plus and we'll be uninspired.
You’re WAY off! We have been playing very hard and pretty good the since we have been out of the playoffs. Last week we beat a good Tampa Bay team. We played really well vs Philly in the 1st quarter.
We need our stupid owner to make sure anyone with a stubbed toe is resting and Lance starts.

I guess it depends on whether Washington cares about the 6th seed or 7th. Probably the difference between playing at Philly or at LA Rams first week or if they just want to avoid injuries.

Yes. The long-term progress I mentioned, the higher draft position ... I'm sure Sanford & Son (Jerry, Stephen) understand that. But they may have the mindset of the fans you say "need to win" these kinds of games. Nothing surprises me these days. But I'd think a lot of their fans would wonder if Commanders, Quinn play a difference maker like Jayden Daniels Sunday.
