WOW!! I always thought of myself as someone who parties hard when I go out. If parties hard = the 90's Cowboys then I'm a choir boy.

Like I said. Avoid it if you can and we can.

I dont want him and this team hasn't been built on idiots like him.

Partying and smoking weed is more important to him that football.

^^^ I got that info via his freind the Drug Dealer who he let borrow his car to transport coke

Well I guess. But I compare it to someone going 55 in a 45.

I can accidentally do that, and have before. That can be an innocent mistake. Smoking weed doesn't happen accidentally, even if you're the president.

With an opening line like that, no one is taking you seriously.

I like the idea of having him, but comparing him to Deion is ridiculous.

His second year he was top 5 in success percentage and YPA against so that matches up favorably.

His second year he returned three punts for TDs. Sanders never returned more than two in a season his entire career.

quite frankly for such a young corner, yes, he is the closest thing to Deion since Deion. Do you have a better person in mind?

It was in all the myriad of articles when he was in trouble.

i don't recall that

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2790076

Bulluck, an outside linebacker, was the Titans' best defensive player when Jones was drafted, the team's leading tackler for four seasons running. When Jones held out of training camp, Bulluck called him out, asking reporters, "Who is Adam?"

Eventually, they became friends. Today, he affectionately calls Jones his "little homey." Sometimes after practice, he goes to Jones' home to hang out. Bulluck's inner circle consists of only a brother and a friend, but Jones' posse sometimes numbers a half dozen or more. Jones, an only child, likes a crowd around him. Cousin Lewis Kuffour and Marcus Bowens, a childhood friend, have always been part of his group.

Almost everyone interviewed for this story made the point in one form or another that Jones is a good kid with a big heart. But that isn't the version of Pacman seen by the world outside of his inner circle.

I don't. I said from the get go in this thread that his physical abilities are not in question, but his character is.

everyone knows his character is in question but I think with what we have to give up...his limited salary and his physical abilities...they outweigh any other problems that may arise...the worst that can happen is he is suspended again or banned for life....but if he is banned for life and:

his salary is small and incentive laden we lose nothing

we give up a 5th or 6th rounder we lose nothing

we draft a corner because we arent counting on him...we lose nothing...thats my whole point...

now if we let newman walk in a year because we are counting on pacman and then pacman gets banned from the league then we are in trouble...i say get him but plan like you dont have him....

I just dont see that happening and I dont think you want to pay your top 4 corners that much money.

They won't be paying Pacman much money. He is has no bargaining power what-so-ever. This is a situation for him to get a fresh start and save his career.

I think hes referring to him as Deion in the return game. He is VERY good at that. But NOWHERE near Deion as a CB.

Hes talented though, but not Deion talented.

There weren't things said in that article that backed up what I said? That was the only quote by Bulluck about him?

Note, I never said his teammates don't like him. I said he is a distraction and sometimes aloof. From the same article...

Pac -- he's young and old at the same time," explained Titans teammate Keith Bulluck. "But he has to realize: As much as he would like to keep it real and stay true to himself and where he comes from, you've got to be careful what you do.

"Sure, he has a very short fuse. Yeah, he's a target. But he allows himself to be a target, too.
I also said that even his "posse" has expressed concerns. Again from your article...

Last spring, Nashville police seized nearly a ton of marijuana and cocaine in one of their biggest drug busts in recent years. Darryl Moore, a convicted drug dealer, was the target of the investigation. He's the same Darryl Moore that Jones counts as a friend. Earlier, Moore had the front seats of a 2004 Cadillac XLT embroidered with "Pac-Man." Police seized the vehicle as part of the drug bust, and Jones eventually bought it at auction.

In phone conversations wiretapped by local police, and later obtained by WTVF News Channel 5 in Nashville, Moore's concern for Jones is reflected in a conversation with a third party.

"We gotta slow down, man," Moore said in the taped phone call. "We gotta get him focused on football, man. He's focused on too much other s---."

Transcripts of phone calls between Moore and Jones revealed that the two had partied together on several occasions, that Moore had slept at Jones' home and that there was possible evidence that Moore had made drugs deals from that home. There are references in the taped calls to a "cutie pie" (street slang for 9 ounces of cocaine) and "dro" (a nickname for marijuana). In one taped conversation, Moore said Jones had spent thousands of dollars gambling on college athletics and worried that his habits might jeopardize his football career.

"You know, I was talking to him the other day about smoking," Moore said in that phone call, "and he was like, 'Man, if I didn't smoke, I couldn't take all the stress that I'm dealing with right now.'"

You said that he was sullen and withdrawn. the quote i gave indicated that he was friends with the defensive leader and the people that knew him professionally liked him. there is nothing in what you quoted that indicated he was sullen withdrawn or aloof.

obviously he has a temper and hangs out with thugs. obviously he does things that distract him from football but nowhere does it say that his teammates and/or coaches felt he was a distraction.

im not saying hes a saint, far from it but what i am saying is that when hes in the lockerrom, hes a good guy that is liked by his teammates. apparently his "possee" likes him too because they are saying that he needs to pull his head out of backside.

duane thomas is sullen and withdrawn. pacman is not. if anything i would say hes gregarious to the point its a problem.

Yeah, good kids with big hearts are always slappin' strippers around...

hey those arent my words. but the guy that did that article sure seemed to be thorough and whether or not you like it or want to accept, he did say that most of the people that he interviewed said that he had a good heart.

I realize you love to demonize people and find it very difficult to understand that all people are a mix of the good and the bad but this is what this guy is saying.

When I have 8 posts in one thread it is hard for me to remember which one I am being questioned on. My apologies for misunderstanding which one.

I will try and find the article I was talking about. It may be tomorrow. I am now home from vacation, but I have to get up early and the meds for my back (I hurt it last week) are making me sleepy.

Sorry, I read Bulluck's comments that I quoted as exactly that when he points out the need to be careful and that he allows himself to be a target. Cool if you don't, but I do.

Or it could mean they are worried about their meal ticket losing his goose that laid the golden egg.

duane thomas is sullen and withdrawn. pacman is not. if anything i would say hes gregarious to the point its a problem.
In some respects he probably is. I wasn't pulling those descriptions out of thin air. I will do my best to find them. It probably will be tomorrow before I do.

And I repeat, quite simply, that people with good hearts do not do the things that PacMan has done... when you start beatin' on strippers 'cause you're pissed at them, you're a piece of garbage... when you do that kind of thing over and over and over again, you're a piece of garbage...

Now, people CAN change, but Jones has shown us no sign of having done so, indeed while he was suspended, he cashed in on his punk reputation while doing the pro rassling thing... I saw his act on TNA wrestling, and thought to myself that it didn't take him much acting at all...

No sir, before I'd take a chance on that piece of garbage, I'd want to see tangible evidence that he was cleaning his life up... there is no such evidence, at this time...

And let's take a close look at the people I "demonize"-- Michael Vick, convicted felon... Pac Man Jones, suspended by the league for repeated violent violations of the law, one of which led to a man being shot and paralyzed...

The question is, why would anyone NOT "demonize" such sociopaths?? I wonder if such a fine, upstanding young man showed up to pick up your daughter, would you let her date that kind of guy??

I mean, that's obviously a hypothetical, I don't know if you have any kids or not, but if you do, they're probably not quite dating age yet... but hypothetically speaking, would you be so forgiving if somebody you loved got involved with somebody who acted like Vick or Jones??

If the honest answer is no, then spare me your sanctimony... I suspect your saintly tolerance of sociopaths doesn't go a lot further than this message board...

Hos, if I was you, I wouldn't waste my time on Saint Fuzzy, he's just a contrarian who apparently enjoys sticking up for the dregs of society... Pac Man is the surly individual you've said he is... he's a druggie, he's angry and he's violent...
