You may want to check that again because Tenn can't not release him until he is reinstated that is why Pacman agent wanted him to be reinstated earlier instead of right before camp when teams will have filled their needs and still have more money under the cap. The only report that has come out is Tenn giving teams premission to talk with him yet that is unconfirmed rumores right now.

You may want to review history here -- the Bears released Tank Johnson while he was serving an 8 game suspension. Titans can release Pacman -- they will not release him because they can get something for him.

Adam Jones is a known, proven, starting quality cornerback. No cornerback who will be drafted next month is proven yet.

If Jones were on the team and Newman or Henry were lost, Jones could step in without much (if any) loss in ability at cornerback. The same cannot be said of any r-o-o-k-i-e.

Finally, there is a fundamental difference between losing a starter or a backup due to injury and losing a starter or a backup due to a suspension. The two should never be confused by anyone debating the Adam Jones issue--pro or con.

Its fair to say he had some sort of role in what went on.

I know most people dont care about these things, Leonard little did kill someone and the people in st louis have no problem rooting for him as long as he gets double digit sacks, especially when they were a contender.

Same for jared allen, he has 4 dwi's and got a huge contract. When is enough enough? What if his 5th dwi causes a major accident and he kills a family driving in the other lane?

I know its just the way it is, I just think it reaps of a team that is desperate and we are by no means a desperate team. We are in as good a position as anyone in the league to be a succesfull organization for the next 5 years with the young talent we have and hopefully coming in april. No need to lower your public image and take a chance on a ticking time bomb.

I just dont understand it from any angle. If we were 6-10 and had 1 decent player in the secondary I could understand the risk even though I would hate it just as much, I simply can not justify it.

If by get it, you mean play football at a high level.. I disagree. There've been lots of million dollar athletes with ten cent heads in the NFL. Michael Irvin can attest that someone had to reach out to him, whether it was a teammate, coach, or God.

Here's the thing...

The lost of a fourth or fifth round pick isn't the issue. It never was.

The issue of Adam Jones is that he fulfill any contract that he signs without disrupting it for ANY length of time with completely, unnecessary, idiotic behavior.

This season alone will showcase over a thousand NFL players who will not get into trouble and a handful of players who will. Whatever team Jones plays for should be assured beyond all reasonable doubt that he will not fall into the former group. Again. Unfortunately, he has engaged in so much buffoonery in his young life that he can't assure anyone of squat before signing on the dotted line. And that's a pitiful shame.

I was one of the 1st people that said the second Ferguson got hurt I wanted Tank Johnson.

I wanted TO before he ever was an Eagle.
