Typically there are are 100 players in each draft that are capable of starting day-one. I see no reason why Dallas doesn't go into the draft with the idea that all three of their top picks (preferably defense) cannot potentially start right away.

I also see no reason to consider the opportunity window for the Cowboys as closing thus forcing them to go after specifically veteran FAs.

I think that's a highly inflated number. Perfectly willing to have crunched numbers show me that I'm wrong though.
