what did you want them to say

we don't blame the lovely police officer who killed our son, he had it coming?

I certainly don't expect them to file lawsuits against the police officers for doing their jobs and act like they had no right do do what they did, when everyone can clearly see they acted exactly as they should have. He was pulling a gun in the middle of a school. How would you feel if they didn't shoot him and it was a real gun and he mowed down a couple kids? Wonder how that family would have felt if it was another child who did the same thing and he gunned down their kid because the cops decided it was better to let the kid sling the gun around a little more before they shot him.

The parents, especially the mother, are fools for trying to act like the officers didn't have any right to do what they did. Their son was acting like a moron, and that's what happens when you pull a gun on cops and don't drop it when they give you several warnings.

Do you not see the '?' ... he was asking a rhetorical question.

His completion of that very post (the last bold part) made it where the first part (first bold part) seem true enough. :laugh2:

True - but they're also going through THE most devastating thing a parent can go through. They're not thinking rationally. They're trying to reason it, and they can't. It's a stage of grief. It's natural. Let them grieve.

Their complaints and lawsuits are baseless, and they'll get nowhere with them - but let them think irrationally for a bit. They just lost a child.

...if any parent loses their child in a tragic and emotional way as these parents it wouldn't be unreasonable to expect some emotion to come out of their words.

On the flip side I don't think we should be targeting the officers for their actions. I can't believe they went to work that day thinking they were going to shoot a child.

It's tragic situation and the less we spend trying to blame someone for this or that and society focuses on what brought the kid to his terrible conclusion the better it will be for all parties.

Its got nothing to do with the question mark. He asked if the person thought he was stupid because he posted "contradictory statements that were true more often than not".

If they were contradictory statements, in other words, statements that contradicted each other, then one opinion would obviously always be true, and one would always be false, because its 50 50 either way.

So yes.. he is stupid because he posts "contradictory statements that are apparently true more often than not".

:laugh2:

I ask this because I honestly don't know police procedure, ... but could they not shoot a kid in the leg with the first shot?

No, when someone is pointing a gun at them they shoot to kill. You can still shoot at the cops with a bullet in your leg and often the suspect is under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Besides, 95% of ordinary police officers arent nearly skill enough with a handgun to do that.

I wish we could discuss politics, but we can not. So I will just not argue with you.

If you point a gun at a group of police officers you're going to get shot. A 15 year old is just as capable of ending a life as a grown man if you put a gun in his hand.

They don't need to say anything

Wow, and after seeing more quotes from the parents of this boy, i have no doubt they were awful parents, and now awful people as well.

The mother is quoted as saying, "He was just a boy, like any boy.. they had no right to do this."

Are you friggin serious lady?? Get off it.. and now they plan to look for a lawyer and sue the officer or officers who shot this kid too? As if he isn't suffering enough in his own head and heart over having to shoot this kid.. unbelievable.

The parents actions and statements make me want to vomit.

I knew this would come to a lawsuit sooner rather then later. Maybe they need to be analyzing their son and what led him to this horrid decision rather then looking for a payday.
Im looking for the words "hate crime"to be added to the mix anyday now.
Common sense would tell anyone that if you go waving a firearm[even a toy}around an police officer your likely to come up on the short end of the stick.

Let the dumbing down of this once great nation continue.
