I think rankings like this try to have it both ways....you can't combine the rankings for previous years and vereran QBs and throw in a rookie to compare also as he only has one year of work. Either rank guys with more than one year of playing or limit the poll to last season alone. If you only look at last years body of work by itself, Dak was easily top ten and I'm not sure Luck is which would be blasphemous to most who make these rankings but it's not analytically honest or fair to rank rookies against veterans and then include previous good years of the vets in the rankings.

Last season, Dak benefited from some advantages that most rookies didn't have, although he also possesses exceptional talent and intangibles that most other QBs do not. A great OL and soft schedule hint as much.

This season, other teams should find ways to make his job difficult with a tougher schedule, although conversely, he should improve and offer opposing defenses a greater challenge.

Considering Dak was in his rookie season and managed to fare so impressively, it doesn't seem too far fetched to imagine a QB with his work ethic climbing to an even loftier rating in 2017.

He has below average height, arm strength and isn't even especially fast. He struggles to complete passes downfield or complete any pass really that isn't a straight line throw to a wide open player. He's pretty much the dictionary definition of a fourth round, average talent.
If thats the case it is even more remarkable that Dak came in as a rookie and won 13 games. Threw for 23 TD's with 4 interceptions. His below average arm and height threw for 3,667 yards and stumbled into a 104.9 RTG. ...4th in yards per attempt

Matt Ryan ATL 16 4,944 534 9.26
2 Tom Brady NE 12 3,554 432 8.23
3 Kirk Cousins WAS 16 4,917 606 8.11
4 Dak Prescott DAL 16 3,667 459 7.99

as I stated that makes his QB skills even more brilliant. Averge arm and height yet as a rookie he has a RTG 104 with 13 wins in his rookie season!
I'll take that thank you every much

Makes that penalty/non penalty that took them out of field goal range or possible TD loom large.
yeah there were many things that added up to that being a loss.
Things at end of games tend to stand out, like the rodgers throw to set up fg, and dallas settling for fg, the spike, deflected pass, on
their last possession.
But it is a 60 minute game and it all adds up.

GB looked sharp and ready, dallas was sloppy and looked like they just woke up before the game.
They played better as game went on, but not quite good enough to overcome the early sloppiness.

He's above average in speed. He's average in arm strength.

He's among the league leaders in stats like completion% and air yards. So then we're left with the eye test from a blind guy.

He had the greatest season ever for a rookie QB. Might want update your dictionary.

He's below average in both speed and arm strength. The rest is made up fiction that you pulled out of your rear that doesn't mean anything anyway, like "air yards". You might want to stop playing so much Madden.
