Because Pollard literally had an interview after saying he was joking and would’ve been able to keep going if needed.

Maybe he did, but the evidence fits what he was saying. You could see him run out of gas on the field and come close to being caught. It's understandable. It's late in the game and you're sprinting 50-something yards. He just didn't have much left in the tank.

Now, good players find a way to dig deep when asked, so he might have if called upon, but I see no reason to deny the evidence.

unless this a team that is sold on totally using bell cowing a back for 20+ carries,.. it wouldn't make much sense to demand
a thoughbred type back to try to be a bell cow. you wouldn't ask Christian McCaffrey, Austin Ekler or Aaron Jones to do.

They are not meant for pounding & grinding, their skill set suits Splash plays ..and then you get a 2nd back that may have some
bell cow skill suit to complement the splash guy (ala Dillion in GB) ...

Some teams,. some coaches ..don't get ..and they'll force a square peg into a round hole, and they'll be the ones to best ruin those
RBs career,.. or waste their talents. ..

Dude really? You need to give it to. Everyone knows if Pollard was handed even one more carry his body would disintegrate.
