I was sure of this move before his injury but his broken leg gave me pause.

Don’t want to lose TP but paying a hobbled running back 11 million next season is probably dumb.

I think it makes sense to tag him if we draft another back fairly early who can share the load with him this year and take over as the lead back the following year. We need to get into a cycle with these backs instead of giving them big second contracts.

Two years from now, it should be the back we draft this year and a back we draft next year taking on the load. Then continue the cycle.

Take it for what its worth...but Eatman/the team via the team website the day after surgery said he should be ready by the start of camp. I dont know that I can link it, but google "pollard timeline not what previously expected" and it will be the first hit.
