Twitter: Pollard on the load that he can carry

This is PG forum what’s with this R content? Joking aside I don’t worry about pollard on running plays it’s in the passing game that concerns me

I don’t think he misses all blocks don’t get me wrong but he’s clearly not as good as zeke.

here is another opportunity for pollard to prove he can do this.

Exactly. Zeke is a glorified fullback.

And?

What the problem is?

Let me guess....$$$.

An excuse.

Hint: hating zeke doesn't make you cool. You might THINK so...

FB or not...try to cheer him as best as you can manage. When zeke does well the Cowboys do well.

No concern of Pollard running the ball but I am leery of his ability to pick up the blitz, people act as if it is no big deal but if a back is failing to pick up blitzer that is a great way to get your QB hurt and cause turnovers. It is the one area that he must improve on.

Pollard should do great as lead back for this game. If he had to do it every game and take multiple carries up the gut is when it would take a toll on his body.

Yeah it's hard to understand why so many people struggle to understand this. The hits take a toll over time. It might not show in one game or two games but eventually the muscles start screamin 'no mas.' Especially if in addition to 25 touches you have him pass blocking 25-30 times a game as well. I hope Pollard has 150 yards and 2 TDs and doesn't get his QB killed. Hopefully Moore will have a plan that doesn't ask him to block much.

They need to adjust for his lack of blocking ability. You can't ask Pollard to be Zeke but you can run a quick RPO, or screen behind the rush, or anything but ask him to stand there and block.

Eberflus is a smart defensive coach. So if Pollard is in there on passing situations I frankly believe he's going to send a blitzer every chance he gets. That way you don't have to cover him out of the backfield and you improve your chances of getting to the QB or at least affecting the throw. People acting as if there won't be any change in the operation of the offense are simply putting their lack of football IQ on display..

Agree. Zeke gets so unfairly bashed. He is a complete back and one of the best blocking backs in the league. People complain in here all the time about these guys not caring and only wanting their money, well zeke got paid and he's trying like hell to play Sunday with a jacked up knee.
