Twitter: Pollard on the load that he can carry

I'm a big fan of Zeke.
I also am rooting for Tony Pollard to have a huge game.
A 75 yard scamper on the first play would be nice!

Why are you a big fan of Zeke? Please explain it to me because I seriously dont understand.

If a play hinges on Pollard blocking a free DE then i have a qustion about the play design, plenty of ways to not have pollard picking up DE's....I hope to see a real screen game if pollard is in 80%.

Eberflus is a smart defensive coach. So if Pollard is in there on passing situations I frankly believe he's going to send a blitzer every chance he gets. That way you don't have to cover him out of the backfield and you improve your chances of getting to the QB or at least affecting the throw. People acting as if there won't be any change in the operation of the offense are simply putting their lack of football IQ on display..

Ah yes, the myth and lie that Pollard cant block you continue to peddle.

Is it in defense of your fragile hero Zeke? Dont you find it ironic that with all your talk of Pollard not being to handle the load, its now Zeke two years in a row that has failed to handle even his reduced load?

And oh, there will be change. The offense will be much better with Pollard getting the carries over the hapless Zeke. You can count right?

3.8 ypc for your hero Zeke and 5.6 for my boy Pollard. Which one would YOU want toting the rock?

Here were the first couple drives for your hero Zeke last week. A big reason why the offense stumbled out of the gate:

First drive: On 2nd and 10 Zeke goes for 2 yards. Now 3rd and long, sack, Punt.

2nd drive: Ist down Zeke runs for 2 yards. On 3rd and 1 Zeke gets stuffed for -2 yards, Punt

2 drives that featured Zeke and did NOTHING to help this team extend drives. Funny how most are blaming Dak for this. Reality it was more Zeke than anything else.

Pollards first few carries of the game: Pollard 6 yards, Pollard 7 yards, Pollard 6 yards. This was the first drive Pollard was featured and its no coincidence that we immediately started moving the ball and scored. It should be noted that all 3 runs were right up the middle.

Agree. Zeke gets so unfairly bashed. He is a complete back and one of the best blocking backs in the league. People complain in here all the time about these guys not caring and only wanting their money, well zeke got paid and he's trying like hell to play Sunday with a jacked up knee.

Yeah it's hilarious that people claim a guy "got paid and stopped caring" but then in the next breath slam the same guy with $50,000,000 in the bank for "being selfish" because he wants to be out there for his team not only playing through pain in his leg but throwing his body in the way of moving cars to help keep his QB from getting blown up. I can speak from personal experience, that crap hurts like hell and you don't do it if you "don't care." I would hate going through life as miserable as some of these people must be.

Not so much DE but blitzer. OT will take the DE but you have LB, CB or safety coming on outside or inside and you must figure out who is coming and pick him up. RB has to pick up the free rusher if not your QB is going to get hammered

I know and Pollard can stop an LB not as good as Zeke but good enough, its the DE that Pollard gets ragdolled by that Zeke does not.

You absolutely have to change the offense. If KM doesn't dak might not survive.

He has not done that consistently, key work consistently. I like Pollard but if there is one aspect of his game that must improve and is critical it is pass protection. HC will not put their QB at risk by having their RB whiff on blocks and that has a lot to do with Pollard limited snaps. No doubt the guy has the ability to make plays but his blocking has not been very good.

I want him to rest up. KM just needs to figure out how best to run things without him for 1 game so he comes back strong to finish the season.

I'm pretty happy with the running attack. I don't understand the either/or mentality of people when it comes to Zeke and Pollard. I think they're both very good and I'm pleased with the way the coaching staff has managed both their loads. I believe Pollard got more snaps than Zeke last game. Having two competent but different backs makes it harder for the defense to defend. Now they not only have to guess whether it's a run or a pass, but also whether it's going to be a footrace or a battering ram. The more they have to think pre-snap, the better.

I look forward to Pollard having a great game and Zeke resting. I know he could play if it was a big opponent, but I'd rather have Zeke fighting for 5 yards on first down in December than fighting his knee as well.

100% agree

Agreed. It's too easy to scheme around this supposed weakness of Pollard's, but we never do it.

Please God, give Dakota the vision to make quick decisions and get the ball out quick to thev right wr.
Lololololololol, I see what you did there. I'm not a Dak hater , but that is hilarious. You gotta do one for Ceedee next though.

Everyone bashes ceedee for drops.... did you see evans last week? I remember Jerry Rice doing same thing. Every wr has drops. They should take a great catch on a bad pass and make that eliminate a drooped ball.

"supposed"...you dont; watch the games?

It's not a stat you'll see in the box scores. You have to pay attention without Zeke on your mind.

I'm not sure Dak never saw a blitzer straight to the QB three times in his career let alone 3 in one game (Philly?)

Come on bro.....
