Needs a breather.

Actually he is getting better than a fair shot. Typically when he comes in he has the advantage of fresh legs against a defense that Zeke has already softened up for him. He also comes in with the advantage of the opposing defense having spent less than 5 minutes on him during the week. If he can't come in and thrive under those circumstance then he has not earned more opportunities. Now I agree we need to have a better plan for him.. But he can't stink up the joint in 60-70% of the games in which he appears and unseat the starter. If a defense holds Zeke to 30 yards on 12 carries he can't come in and put up 12 yards on 9 carries and demand more totes. That's just not how it works. If he wants more totes he has to come in and put up 80 yards on those 9 carries while the defense is stuffing Zeke to have my attention. When he does that, we can talk about him getting equal to more carries than Zeke. Until then.. he's a change of pace back and nothing more.

I'd just like to see people take their foot off his neck for the season. Instead of "hope I'm wrong but...".

I have given him his fair shot. I have even stated earlier in the offseason that I don’t know why people are complaining about him getting in shape. It’s like he did what we wanted him to do and people still aren’t happy because the cones can’t tackle or something.

He also appears to be working on avoiding contact instead of constantly initiating contact.

He appears to be addressing concerns that I had about him.

Ah cool. I'm one of his longest best fans...and I hated the hold out, the out of shape, the unusual fumbling.

But he has a clean slate for me.

I think being negative just to look clever is a poison. (Not YOU...just in general). Although I have SOME cautions....it's a clean slate and it's funner that way. I'm not afraid of sports disappointment, nor do I find joy in predicting failure just to be in on it early. (again..not YOU Avian...but we got some of 'em here).
