Never was. He has had trouble in this area before. And this is why McCarthy had leupke attempts a goal line run.
Gotta think had kept Zeke we’d have won this one. And probably at Philly. I know it wasn’t to be, but just unfortunate.

.....then you get what you pay for, you play with the 53-man roster, and you live and die with who you bring to the dance.......now that was simple.
The dance doesn't start till the playoffs so we could start going over those games and having those debates then this was just a loss in the regular season we already punched our ticket to the dance so we'll talk about these games the real ones that really matter when we get there but this is on the coaches to be using those other guys more in my opinion hunter Rico and Malik should have been used a lot more but instead they decided to think Tony Pollard all of a sudden was a workhorse back and he is not Tony Pollard is what he is but he can't even be his old self because he's out on the field too much...

Just maybe something's gonna come out of that game even though we lost I like the way they were trying to get the full back more involved and they were using Rico and Malik they need to do that more as we get to the playoffs I want to see next week even more of that start getting paler's legs fresh for the playoff games yes he could still do his old thing where he can come in and get 10 carries and then use them to stretch you know run to the outside but not bang him constantly in short yardage in goal line if anything I got out last night please don't let that be a one off let this be the start of us preparing for the playoffs and that is one way to do it is get all those other guys involved I know hunter didn't get the ball into his arms correctly and fumble that ball but I wanna see him back out there I want to see him get another five or six carries every game all the way into the playoffs we need to start establishing the run and get our short yardage better and this is the time to do it...

Right all the talking here was last year Pollard was ripped off because he'd get the ball close to the goal line and then they brought in zeke to finish it off and that he would have all those touchdowns as well well you know what people everyone who thought that were very wrong zeke was getting 900 yards and 12 touchdowns on a bad leg you know that serious thigh bruise that Zach Martin got well he got that and his knee last year in the mid season before that zeke was playing really well but either way 12 touchdowns is hard to do and yet people underestimated and underappreciated what zeke did around here not saying zeke shouldn't have been cut but maybe he should have been brought back but if the Cowboys would have brought them back they would have just called Jerry nepotism that he's just liked his guys and he can't let go and blah blah blah and really power doesn't look the same without zeke here he's lost his explosiveness they're using him too much in short yardage he's on the field too much doing the other things The Dirty work the blocking and all that and he has lost a step for $10 million he's now underperforming and has to take his medicine turn about his fair play Pollard should have scored from there he should have went and stretched that play to the pylon and made an effort to get over the line at all costs and not head straight into the tackles and then maybe that hunter play never happens but we'll never know but I know this if zeke got to the one yard line he's not having his body turned and pulled backwards he gets in if he's that close with any momentum whatsoever....
Zeke sucks. He's got street free agent stats this year at 3.5 yards per carry.

In no way would we have been better off with that shot player on this roster.

Lmao. He ran like he still had the ball. And he thought he scored and got up and looked for the ball. I think that someone didn’t know the play. Likely Luepke since he hasn’t seen much action. Maybe thought it was a play action but why get up and look for the ball. Lmao. Seemed like a strange game from what little I saw. The usual non calls while Parson gets mugged. Edoga looked horrible. Whiffed on one play really bad. Last time he played ok. Oh well we made the playoffs. Maybe thats why they are playing like this the last few games. We play lions next and they are not going to lay down for us..
If I had to guess, I'd guess that Hunter missed the call of him getting the ball. Prolly an audible.

Right I mean Jerry Jones wouldn't have been able to win this at all everyone knew zeke needed to be cut so he did the right thing but if he tried to bring zeke back this place would have just went berserk with the daddy son nepotism thing with the love for his players that we like our guys thing and they never would have let him live that down but now in hindsight people are saying we should have brought zeke back but that's not what would have been said here had that had happened they'll say he can't let go just like he brought Witten back and got hell for that they IE the fans the social media places like this would have burned Jerry Jones to the ground for bringing zeke back even though it would have been the right thing to do in my opinion...

and here's why,

I believe Tony Pollard is being used improperly because they feel at $10 million he earned his right to be the number one running back and they're gonna have him out on the field for all the snaps the blocking the short yardage the passing routes and all the decoy stuff that he's gonna do which are total snaps on the field because they don't feel like they have a better option even though they should have been using Rico and Malik and hunter a lot more before this game and I did like this game plan using the fullback more but they should have been doing it for weeks...

Now my point about zeke if Ezekiel Elliott would have been here he has the name and the recognition and the respect from the coaches they would have used him a lot more in those situations than they are using Rico and Malik and hunter he would have got those carries they wouldn't have minded taking those away from Pollard... But because those other guys are not see they don't have the respect from the locker room or the coaches they're giving Pollard carries he should not be getting or staying in on snaps to block or short yarders that he should not be getting at the goal line if zeke was here that play(s) would have went to zeke..

So for whatever reason the coaches are apprehensive to use the other guys they would not have had an issue using zeke and that alone is why they would have brought him back under a cheaper contract and let them be that dirty work guy here and still let Pollard get a lot of carries it's not the carries it's the load of everything else with the blocking and everything that's taking away pollard's burst...
Now that is the king of run on sentences!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Could be. Maybe was supposed to be a decoy and Dak audibles after seeing the line and Luepke don’t catch on and just ran like gump as a decoy. A shame, any way they lined up if he gets that snap the way he dove in he would have scored..

Pollard went North instead of going NW. The guy should have the speed to outrun and drag out the play. I think he is a good player and person, but he really needs to step up more. Regardless we need to draft another option for his backup or to replace him depending on how the offseason goes.

Not sure I can stomach seeing the play again, but if I'm not mistaken, Hunter didn't even have his hands positioned to take the ball. Did he?

It almost looked like the ball barely touched him. I am going to look again. I really don’t think he was supposed to have the ball. I wish he did. He knows how to get a yard. Being 230 people move when we dives at your knees. Like the tush push..

Ok I looked. 100% on Luepke. It was in his arms and dropped out straight down. Maybe he didn’t know he was supposed to get it but Dak put it right there in the box. lol. But he kept going like he had it the whole time. Like he didn’t feel the ball or know it came out..

Yeah if we kept him then we would have someone to start out and hammer for 2 to 4 yards to start the game and a short yardage pick up guy. But at what price. Could have had him cheaper than Pollard. JJ gambled and lost.

I wanted Elliot back at about 3 million. No way after that injury was Pollard gone be 100% to start the year and I knew Pollard was not a starter. He is a 10 carry a game guy. Maybe 15 but after the opposing defense is softened up. We need a hammer. Plain and simple. I figured Luepke was brought in for that.

The angle in slow mo that it watched Dak stuck the ball right in his hands up high where his hands were. And it promptly dropped right out. And he kept running and did a great job breaking through even with fins driving the O-Line back.. To bad he didn’t have the ball. Did he not feel the ball come out or think he was decoy and not feel the ball getting placed in hands or thought Dak pulled it back out to do a play action at the 1 yard line since Pollard didn’t stretch the play. I really think this team screws itself..

Did he even grab the ball? I really don't think he knew he was getting it. I think they called a fake to him, then audibled to give it to him, and he missed the audible. The way he acted, I just don't see how he knew he was getting the ball.

I still can't figure out why we refused to use Luepke all year, and then suddenly started giving him carries when the season is on the line. Makes zero sense.
