I don’t think any RB is invincible. Y’all act like Zeke don’t get hurt.
Zeke does and any RB.....given the carries. We have not forgotten Zeke having to run on one leg last year.

Pollard isn’t Faulk.

I don’t see how you guys don’t see the similarities between McCaffrey and Faulk.

You guys act like he’s some tiny back but he’s a 210 pound runner, he runs hard, and on top of that his production is elite.

But this need to watch Zeke crash into someone after 3 yards is just very odd by a lot of you.

I'll bring this up again:
https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2022/rushing.htm

There are 5 players who get 16 carries a game. There are 2 that get 20 or more. The NFL isn't built around guys getting a massive number of carries anymore.

I don't think that Pollard is the best RB in the NFL. There is a small group better than him. I would rather have Chubb, Henry, maybe a healthy Barkley, etc. After that? Yeah, Pollard is better than just about everyone and he fits in fine with all of the other RB's getting 15 carries a game.

Will he stay that way? Well, not for 5 years certainly. As soon as he loses his speed he is going to be done. Any future contract needs to keep that in mind.

lol yeah Pollards pass blocking has just been detrimental lately…

You’re a comedian.
I didn’t even see him get an opportunity to pass block. Since Elliot has been out. And before that horrible.

Against the Vikings Moore finally used him in both the run game and passing game

1. What is Pollard? Is he an every down back or a platoon level back?

2. If he is viewed as an every down back what might his next contract look like? If he is a RB by committee back what would his contract look like?

he is not an every down back, you will not work it right to make him that, he will get exhausted and perform worse.

he is the best playmaker back in a tandem that we have seen, that is what he is and how he should be used, in conjunction with a hard hitting straight ahead back, currently Zeke.

He’s the best weapon on your offense. You pair him with another back. Give him 15-18 Carrie’s a game and 5 receptions. I bet he gets 8 million for 3 years. Which we should not pay.

Yes but a much cheaper, better version of zeke. He would also go great with a young all around back as well.

We should put Pollard and Turpin at the same time on the field, keep the defense honest, make them worry about their speed.

2 years? lolno, we're not paying 21M a year for a scatback or even a premium ladanian tomlinson bell cow in his prime
It does not cost 21M for the 2nd Tag on a RB.

Wrong!

It is not 21M for a 2nd RB tag.

A RB tagged in 2022 at 9.5M would be 11.4M in 2023.

It will be approximately 10.4M and 12.5M for 2023/2024.

A 3rd tag would be about 30M.

Pollard is a high producer. Call him what one wishes, but you pay him as well for production.

He is the #1 weapon on this team and you lock him up long-term. Everyone else comes after him.
Every team now knows about Tony so beware the money man will come a calling if the Cowboys do not resign him now long term or franchise him next year. I know about how you don't throw money at the position and you don't do long term deals with a running back. It isn't good economics 101. But Tony doesn't have the tread ware of most backs coming up for big money. It's a nice problem for a team to have. I will wait and see what the team does.

If we can waist a franchise tag on an above average tight end ....... We can use it on Pollard next year.

That would be bad if he accepted that. Zeke got double that 5 years ago.

And how many people are going to get upset 2-3 years down the road when Pollard starts slowing down?

guaranteed it’s the same crowd that wants to pay him

I would hope Cowboys get him signed, for me the key is how much and for how long?
