He even bought me a ticket to see him in Montreal.

Fortunately I got knocked out cold playing hockey a couple days before and couldn't go.

That would've been the night you converted.....nobody puts on a live show like The Boss! You were this close.....:(

I ended up seeing him five or six years later. It was a mega concert with U2, The Police, SRV, The Talking Heads, a couple others. Springsteen played last.

I fell asleep. Only time in countless live shows. I was on a date so drugs and alcohol didn't play a factor. He just doesn't do it for me.

I think Bob Seger out Springsteens Springsteen.

The Police
The Pretenders
Bob Dylan

The Beatles.

Seriously.

I'm with you.

Their music is ok....but nothing to go all nuts for.

I like Seger as well. Very Under rated IMO.

Springsteen, never liked him
Nirvana, never understood why they were so popular, kids looking for a different kind of music I guess
Santana, just say no to bongo drums
Joan Jett, would rather be beaten to death
Triumph, were they ever actually popular?

Oh man....

Nirvana - In fact not only could I not get into them I down right couldn't stand them.

The Beatles - Before my time, of course, but I can't stand their stuff.

The Monkeys - See the Beatles

Elvis - Yuck.

The Rolling Stones - No. Just...no.

springsteen and u2 most definitely..

i like maybe 6 songs between them both.

Iron Maiden - I like metal, but I think they're horrible. Just the worst example of what metal is. I'm surprised how popular they are among fans and musicians alike.

I think the same about Springsteen.
You know nothing about musicianship, that is why you are surprised.
The joke is on you.

I'd rather listen to gun shot fire from my kids' room to Springsteen east coast elitist BS and his zombie fans.
Maybe 3 songs from U2, and straight up saturday morning AM gardening shows before Springspuke.

Any band whos members wear their sisters skin tight jeans.

Basically a good majority of current bands.

:eyepoke:

That's the beauty of music....there's something for everyone.

Others...
Pearl Jam....no.
AC/DC...would never insult the fan base...just not my bag.
Chili Peppers...see Springspuke.
Green Day...Ugh.
Bob Dylan...gimme a root canal...zero novocaine.

Springsteen was/is a inspiration to auto mechanics nationwide...:laugh2:

Never understood his appeal.
Same deal with john cougar and especially hootie and the blowfish.
I went to a Kansas concert way way back in the day...It was the biggest snoozefest ever. Good thing it was free.
