I had a root canal once where they started drilling a little too soon... worst shooting pain I EVER felt in my life. Believe me, Bob can't be that bad.

Had a tooth yanked last year, same thing. It felt okay for few seconds, but then BAM! Turns out there was an infection in the jaw itself that made everything a lot more sensitive. The smell though once it came out, puke fest.
