Position upgrades?

Offensive line has been porous, and it really bit us today.

So I go with O-line and O-line coach. No more Hudson Houck.

Joe Bugle announced his "retirement" a couple of days ago. Does anyone know if this is codespeak for "he doesn't fit the type of line that Shanny likes" or is he really ready to hang it up. I think he would be the best upgarde we could possibly make in the offseason if he's willing to come here and build us a line like the Hogs of the '80's...

What about the defense? I hear alot about the O Line and for good reason but the defense struggled at the begining of the year and then got hot for 4 games and then flopped again... Is there no need for upgrades on defense?

LT, LG, WR, K, backup DT, backup DE (two of them), backup OLB (two of them), FS.

proctor is still on the team.i say draft a LT in the 1st and a good center in the 3rd rd.Free can back up both tackles and the rookie can learn from flo.

Just curious...why "backups?"

How 'bout we just get the best guys we can, and may the best man (men) win?

Not calling you out personally, but I remember Jerry going into the '95 draft with the same mindset.

For instance, I say get the best NG candidate available, and if by some miracle, he's able to beat Rat out, then awesome. How much better could we be?

Find all the studs you can, regardless of position.

Our main need is an upgrade in the "Head Coach" position!!

OL, S, and K. We are not that far off but we do need to improve.

Your close, OL, Kicker, safety or cb due to age of newman, remember was newman that let rice run by hin on first td pass, and fullback, i want a big thumping bruising fullback, enough of this deon anderson being hurt every year when we need him. You might want to look at possiblilty of trading barber and getting an impact rb too.

I think you're going to have a hard time finding a trade partner for Barber.

Craig

Offensive line, defensive backs and maybe receiver. Definitely kicker.

Agreed. Let's not use the term "backup" ... but we need depth at those positions.

These are not flashy picks but OLine and Dline better be priority.

DT - Move Ratliff to DE and Draft or sign a mammoth DT (Ndamukong Suh?)
OT - Draft
OG - Draft
OC - Draft

And obviously WR. It's the first time these words have come out of my mouth becasue I was not wanting to admit defeat but, yes, Roy is officially a bust.

Also, wouldn't mind seeing Barber traded out of here.

What positions need upgrades in your mind? Just wondering...

I would Love!!!!! Aaron Kampman or Shawne Merriman at middle inside and Julious Peppers ar left end. They are all free agents and would be crazy to see them out there with Ratliff, Ware, Spencer, Olshansky and Brooking.

1) FG Kicker
2) Offensive line (we need to get younger and more athletic)
3) Wide Receiver (we're good, but not great)
4) Backup QB (can't imagine Kitna is staying?)
5) DB's....can't have enough good cover guys
