Explain to me how we are going to do better in the playoffs if the defense cant stop the run or pass ?? So if we get rid of Dak, we will automatically win in the playoffs. Even if Dak takes a discount, I have no faith in this organization spending money to upgrade the other weak positions on the field. I also don't have confidence in them finding a franchise QB in the near future. 28 years and counting.
I read the comment you replied to as carefully as i could. I could not find any claim resembling "get rid of dak and we automatically win in playoffs". In fact....i cant find anyone saying it.

QB’s don’t grow on trees. No matter what you think of Dak, he‘s not the reason for not having much playoff success. He was 2nd in NFL MVP race for a reason. He’s that good. Once he’s gone, it could possibly be years before they break .500. This is no Chicago Bears defense in the making not with massive holes at DT and LB. Mahomes and Brady are generational type players. Picking a QB in the draft is a 50/50 crap shoot AT BEST. So many 1st round busts at that position. Casual fans don’t understand that and want Dak gone NOW. But ask them who’s going to be the QB? They think anyone they draft will be the answer right away. Not likely to happen.

I hope Dak gets extended because I know he gives the team the best chance of winning the Super Bowl. I just hope it’s a team friendly extension. Fix the running game and get a defense that can stop the run and he can easily lead this team to the Super Bowl.
While I agree with your premise can we not exaggerate to that .10 to 15 years come on man that's even more extreme for you but three to five years very possible I think this fan base seems to wanna win the offseason and the draft they don't care about losing in the playoffs they rather just lose. You know never even sniff the playoffs because they say if you're not making the Super bowl why even make the playoffs that's really insanely ignorant for a sports fan..

So, when we lose for the next three to five years then we finally get a quarterback and he's only on Prescott's level then we're back to square one and then what?
This absolutely falls under be careful what you wish for and the grass is not always greener.... well field turf lol.

Can anyone point to anything Dak Prescott does that any average QB in the league could not achieve when given a half way decent line a decent receiver group? What is the "difference" that his defenders claim that he provides that somehow is going to be that much of a talent dropoff if we move on from him?
Well, his goofy dance before games will be missed by his fans. Maybe the next QB won't get a pity vote for MVP. And I doubt the next QB won't walk away smiling after throwing an Int. I'm sure there are more but since I'm not a fan of fantasy like his fans are, that's all I got.

Once again...an example of people making up stuff NOBODY said.

Nobody said "we are a failure if we dont win the super bowl every year".

Nothing wrong with hyperbole....in moderation.

I have pointed this out recently and have received zero replies.

They clamor to give dak a run stopping defense and offensive run game. Only then can we win.
you mean....no other nfl qb can do that? Only dak? Sounds like 32 qbs and all their backups.

Youd think with as noisey and emotional as they are thered be some objection. Crickets.

They have no choice, go with the rookie QB. Lance won't even work because his rookie contract is up at the end of the year. You kind of have to ask yourself the question, how would Dak have done in an away game at GB in the playoffs or in Buffalo, Foxboro, KC. The knock on Dak has been his arm strength. He's normally pretty accurate. The defense was great last year except they can't stop the run, so they lost. Playing Parsons at DE is just a mistake, rush him from the LB position and its a surprise (so beef up the Dline with a DE and another DT plus get another MLB. Dallas is missing 3 key starters on defense and still they played great because of Parsons and the CBs. Also there is no Oline or RB. They'll try to skate through with Rico and Deuce plus some draft pick or UDFA, which is good with me but they need an Oline or dak is a goner.

The funny thing is they'll draft a WR first round, not address any of the real problems and they don't have to pay Ceedee. Then they'll let Dak and McCarthy go and promote Zimmer to HC after this year. Guess how much Zimmer will make to be the HC of the Dallas Cowboys......$480K on the second year of a two year contract. What a joke, that's embarrassing. No one is going to want to play here or coach here. So play that out. If they Tank this year Zimmer is on a one yar contract with a rookie QB, no Oline / Dline, no RB, and a rookie #1 WR. I don't see how it could get any worse, but then bring on the Jerry marketing, get Belichick in here next year and turn this thing around!

I’m laughing at how many times Cooper Rush’s name keeps coming up. Any fan who seriously thinks we would have won 12 games with Rush and made a deep playoff run and even reached the SB in 2022 is living in the twilight zone.

That 152-152 number is misleading. From 2003 (Parcells hired) to 2014 they were 110-79.

They just had 3 really bad seasons in a row 5-11 x 3 from 2000 to 2002. They also had 2014 when Romo went 3-1 and the other QB's went 1-13. To some extent, we have blown up those bad years in our collective heads.

Romo was 78-49 as a starter. Dak is 73-41. The Dak years really haven't been really that much different than the Romo years. Good regular seasons and playoff disappointment.
There seem to mainly be two camps.

One is those who believe the QB (or QBs, since you could include Romo) were good enough to win Super Bowls with if the front office would complete the job of building a team around them instead of just going part way (and that includes hiring competent coaches).

The other camp is those who believe that we cannot win this quarterback (just like with Romo) no matter what talent we put around him.

My belief is that the evidence shows that we cannot win a Super Bowl with this front office (without Jimmy Johnson or the team he built), no matter who we have at quarterback because this front office doesn't know how to build a team without Johnson leading the way. My evidence for that is the past 30 years when we've had mutliple QBs, including one that had won Super Bowls.

He's out there thinking to himself while dancing, who can I throw an Int to this coming game? lol
His INT issues are related to his habit of locking in on his first read and never actually going through his progression. The 8 years with Dak under center the constant knock on this offense has been that it is predictable. And everything the OC is blamed for being lazy or unimaginative. 3 guys have worn that hat since Dak became the QB and somehow all three of these OCs are lazy or unimaginative?

2-5 in the playoffs and you're worried about losing ???
With some of the QBs this fan base would rather have, we may not have a playoff record for a number of years. We’ll end up like Washington and the Giants. We might end up battling them for the basement every season. This fan base will find out it wasn’t so bad with Dak after all.

At least we will get great draft picks.
