The problem is that the same faulty architects are responsible for building the roster.

As much as the overall roster talent has approved, especially since McClay had more say, the Jones have been awful at finding QBs. The three good ones they have had were all luck.

Aikman - purchased the team with the #1 overall pick and Aikman was the obvious #1 overall choice.

Romo - UDFA who would have been cut in 2004 had Quincy Carter not been released for a failed drug test.

Prescott (which half of you hate anyway) - Was a 4th round pick. The Cowboys tried and failed to get Paxton Lynch and Connor Cook in this draft. Prescott only got to play after injuries to Romo and Kellen Moore, as well as Nick Foles choosing to be a back-up in Kansas City over taking the starting job in Dallas.

So, the guys picking the next QB are the same guys who CHOSE the likes of Quincy Carter, Chad Hutchinson, Drew Henson, and tried (and failed) to spend draft capital on Paxton Lynch and Connor Cook.
Yup people forget that. JJ flew out personally to see Paxton workout. All the while Jason Garrett already had his eye on someone.

No, he didn't. He was among the worst on the field that day until the Packers shifted into cruise control. You are once again insisting people only look at the final stats and ignore the context of the game. Dak stunk when the moment was too big... again.
He didn’t play well but the final stats and score showed he didn’t quit like our defense. He kept battling until the bitter end, forcing GB to have to reinsert their starters.

I'm ready for Quincy Carter for the next 10 years. What a fun time that was.

They just sucked.
Not as bad as Dak sucked that put them in bad spots with his picks and inability to move the ball on offense. The score was 27-7 at halftime to a 7 seed at home. And they squeaked out the first TD against a prevent defense right before the half. Dak gave them 7 with a gift pick 6, and another on the 20 yard line where they punched it in quickly. 14 points directly on Dak. Please explain that away.

I want to keep Dak so bad. What a fun time it has been knowing his punk *** is gonna choke against good teams and in the playoffs. Sunrise, Sunset and Dak choking in playoffs. All equal bets. Guaranteed!

And he was the best of all the mess talking about it 10 to 15 really bad or average below average quarterbacks over a period of time and by the way you don't keep players more than four years like him go look at New England they're having problems trying to find Tom Brady's replacement and they knew for years he was leaving they tried to draft players in fact does NFL has drafted 95 quarterbacks since 2016 and only one of them have made the Super bowl and then we have all this talk around about drafting a quarterback you gotta make sure he has 1300 snaps or more he's played more than three seasons in the college ranks as a barometer of who you should draft and then somebody goes and does the research finds out 154 players have been drafted at quarterbacks that meet those criteria since the year 2000 and only 12 of them turned out to be any good that is how hard it is to replace a quarterback of Prescott's level we get it he's making a lot of money he's eating up a lot of funds for the salary cap however he's not the sole reason we're losing in the playoffs getting rid of him and trying to rebuild the rest of the team leaving you with no quarterback it's not gonna make you better they gotta find a way to make the whole team better and have a great quarterback at the same time...

Ask any NFL expert why the Cowboys failed in the playoffs the last 2 years. They agree with me.
