Possible backup QB, Bills E.J. Manuel, would you?

Our local sports radio was talking to a Buffalo sportswriter about their QB situation...they have Matt Cassel, Tyrod Taylor and EJ Manuel all competing for the starting spot. He suggested that Manuel is the third guy and if so could be cut (I know, he is starting their 3rd game, but the reporter basically said it was Ryan giving him the chance to cut his throat).

If Manuel were cut, would you consider him an upgrade to Weeden at QB?

I might take Quincy right now over Weeden, so I would jump all over this.

Yes I would. Weeden serves no purpose whatsoever. He's old, has no upside and if he goes in for an extended game period the season is over anyways. Give me any young, cheap QB with a chance to develop into a legitimate b/u over Weeden.

Sure, why not?

He can't be worse than Weeden, and at least Manuel has time on his side.

I'd take Dustin Vaughan over Weeden at this point. As has been echoed in many of the responses above, if Romo goes down, the season is toast, so the Cowboys may as well try to really develop a true backup. Weeden is not going to be in the league for very much longer, so why waste time on him?
