Possible backup QB, Bills E.J. Manuel, would you?

Smith has been a turnover machine in his first two seasons, with 34 picks and three lost fumbles in 30 games.

He hasn't been good but he still may end up starting for them at some point this season because they have a bad QB situation.

a guy I would take over most that have been mentioned is Matt McGloin with the Raiders. Does anyone think he gets cut?

He's been a bust so far but he did slip to the second round in the draft. He still may end up starting for the Jets

He's probably done in NY. The fans are sick of his immaturity, and getting knocked by IK showed the coaching staff how the team does not respect him.

He could very well be but it's not like the Jets have any QB's on their roster who are better.

Manuel is pretty awful but not nearly as awful as Weeden.

Manuel has failed spectacularly so no I wouldn't add him.
Teams do not give up n young, high draft picks easily.
He has been very, very bad.

Now if they cut Tyrod Taylor dude sign me up in an instant.
He is better in every way.

I suspect there will be between 5-10 QBs released better than Manuel.
He is no bueno.

I would definitely consider outside options though I do think the Weeden hate is very overblown. --Weeden is a legit back up with no starting ambition or salary or potential.
He checks the box which is all that matters to me during a title run.
But if I can find a younger guy there who has potential sure, color me interested.

With Romo's age and back I am carrying 3 QBs regardless. I love the free spot on game days.
I could carry Romo and Showers and use Showers on ST while using Weeden or some other dude as the emergency QB.
Pretty easy to tell Showers he pulled a muscle if you want to play the 3rd QB....
