I thought Sean Peyton was already to step in when BP finally steps away.

How about Greg Williams as head coach and Sean Peyton as assistant head coach/offensive coordinator.

Those are real possibilities, and I don't know if BP is leaving.
If you know anything about Charlie Weis, you know he's not leaving ND any time soon.

Bob Stoops had zero talent? That's laughlable. The talent he had from his one NC team wasn't even recruited by him. IIRC, 17 or 18 of the 22 starters were recruited by the previous coaching staff led by John Blake. Coach Blake was by no means a HC, but the heck if he couldn't bring in talent to Norman.

Stoops was surrounded by GREAT coordinators and coaches. With coaches like Mark Mangino, Mike Stoops, Brent Venables and even Mike Leach.

Looking at alot of factors, Stoops is WAY overrated.

Want a name that no one would even consider? Try former Arizona coach Dave McGinnis. Laughable, right? I would take a look at articles about McGinnis and read what not only players think about him, but other coaches do as well. Both think he went into a bad situation in Arizona (which he did), but they think he will also be a remarkable coach if given the chance again.

One thing that scares me about Parcells leaving is that he has put so many of "his" players on this team that any successor is going to have a difficult time gaining the respect or controlling this team.

The Offensive playmakers are almost all Parcells guys, that worries me...

Parcells leaving prematurely could have the worst effect on this team in history because so much is invested in his philosphy. I wish Parcells had used his "name" value to bring in the younger stars, rather than entirely remaking the 1996 Patriots, and 97 Jets.
