I dont want to hear about Week 1 when we can't even get to Week 1 of the preseason without our backs getting hurt

Right man... these dudes.... It's going to be a long year at RB if this is what we enter the season with...

& I am literally appalled that our "Boys can do no wrong" fan contingent is still willing to stick by the "everything is ok" line of thought.

Name one other NFL team who's top 3 RB are all nursing injuries (regardless of severity) right now. I'll wait....

I have a feeling Gus Johnson is going to get an abundance of work against SD. I'm ok with that because he's the only one out there at RB right now that inspires me to care about that position.

Considering he's about the only healthy running back on the roster who seems to know what he's doing, I think that's a slam dunk bet.

He'll be a 'star' after this San Diego game!

Ryan Williams 2.0.

The 'old Bus' just got parked in Canton, and the 'new Bus' has arrived in Oxnard!

Next stop San Diego!

:flagwave:

Here's a thought, maybe they really feel that any running back can have success behind this offensive line?

We could have a 'guest star' running back each week!

Maybe a 'mystery back' whose identity isn't revealed until game time? We would turn fantasy football on its' ear and be the talk of the league! The Cowboys and 'Running Back X' would be must see television!

Lache busted one for a potential TD yesterday.

Gus Johnson is my new pet cat. I so want to see him succeed. I was fortunate enough to attend one of his home games at SFA which resides in my wife's see hometown. Impressive talent (albeit at the college level). I'm looking forward to seeing his work against SD.

What's life without a pet cat right??? They're cute cuddly furry little creatures. Great to have around the house.

It's like you haven't paid attention to what the first preseason game means for offensive starters. Most teams simply don't give their 1's work. It's just prudent roster management and it allows coaches to evaluate fringe players before first cuts.

A. None of these are established firsts, they are all fighting for that position and some are even fighting for a roster spot.
B. Tony has played in 75% of opening week pre-season games since he has been a "1" , you have to pay better attention, in general.

If Tyler Clutts can score that easy from five yards out, I am hardly worried about the rb position and why would anyone be? We have the best run unit in football-Smith, Martin, Frederick, Leary and Free.
