Pre-Draft PC Jerry, Stephen and Jason at 1:00 CST 04/25

That's my hope too. I read that chargers article. It seems to me that chargers really like Buckner. Then it falls on us. That is gonna be so hard to decide. I think imo they go Ramsey. Draft rb in round two or three. We can start our dback field like Seahawks

Hey you got a link for the Charger's article. I've been reading on their sites as well and Buckner's name seems very much in play for them from what I see as well.

Someone made that point yesterday and i sorta disagreed. Mainly because Jerry generally has diarrhea of the mouth, so it wouldn't surprise me if he just spilled the beans 2 days before the draft. But the more i think about it, they all pretty much had the same message yesterday as if it were scripted. So yes, maybe they purposely and strategically got their message out to the rest of the league yesterday.
Was Buckner mentioned at all yesterday at the presser???

That's true, usually after every draft when you look back, Jerry pretty much said who they were going to pick. I've been reading the posts by Avery and the guy he talks to said the Cowboys have been very difficult to get information on this year. It just seems contradictory to me that they would go to all that trouble then turned around and leak it all in the press conference.

Debatable. Plus I said notable. Orlovsky has been an NFL QB for 11 seasons now. While he has not been good I would guess more NFL fans have heard of Dan Orlovsky than Donald Brown.

Well, you'd be wrong... Brown has appeared in 89 games in 7 years... Orlovsky, 26 games in 11 years... of course, his claim to fame is stepping out of the back of the end zone while
running from pressure... something I sure he wishes we'd forget....... neither of them can hold a candle to the UConn great (in name only) Blidi Wreh-Wilson... then there's Sio Moore who
nearly lost a game for Oakland by celebrating a sack a little too long, drawing a penalty in a last drive situation... UConn is a football powerhouse!... lol

It was hilarious yesterday after Garrett went on a long diatribe about how they have looked at all aspects of Bosa's character issues, and how they have weighed it against all the information and will give it the proper consideration for a player of his caliber.

Then Jerry jumped in at the end, "Character is not an issue at all with Bosa."

LOL. There's the difference between a man who's got a closet full of character flaws and one who doesn't.

Listening to Jerry and Garrett talk about Ramsey sounds like they like him the best. Not saying he'll be the pick but it wouldn't surprise me.

Haha...appeared in...well he is a running back who pretty much appears in every game they suit up for.
To be honest I thought U Conn was still in division 1AA. I remember going to see them play University of Delaware when UofD ran the wingT.

Btw...division 1AA U of Delaware has produced more good NFL Players than U Conn...Rich Gannon and Joe Flacco for the win. :):)

Clearly Ramsey is the target and reading between the lines I don't believe Bosa or Zeke either one is the fall back plan.

I think it is either one of two things.

1. Their fall back player is one that most of us haven't pegged yet
or
2. They are confident SD is going a different route and Ramsey will be there.

I think it's Ramsey if he's there. If he's gone you're probably right that fallback isn't Zeke or Bosa. Probably be Buckner, or heaven forbid, Hargreaves. He's been my worst case scenario, but over the last couple of months has fallen on most mocks/boards to the 8-12 range. But knowing us we probably have him higher.

Flacco shouldn't count since he began his collegiate career at Pitt.... I'm sure the fantasy football world remembers Donald Brown, simply for being a 1st round bust,
over Dan Orlovsky... which was the original point we were debating... anywhoo... way to much talk about UConn... lol... back to deciding over picking the top DB, OT, DE or RB in the draft.

I would think SD would take Tunsil... but "common sense isn't common for everyone".... it sure would be fun to watch what Dallas does if Tunsil is still there at 4.

I keep hearing SD doesn't want Tunsil. Tunsil will most likely be there at 4 and I doubt Dallas gets him.

Right. You might not have heard but many teams would love a LT and may want to move up in the draft to get him... Hence the excitement.

I can not for the life of me figure out why SD would not be all over Tunsil.

King Dunlap is 31, you are paying $4.5M, has not played a full season in 2 years and is one concussion away from potentially being done. Who better to protect your franchise QB and will be the best player on the board.

NFL Media columnist Michael Silver tweeted Tuesday that there is "some sense that the Chargers are considering" Notre Dame offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley at No. 3. The team is also in play for Mississippi bookend Laremy Tunsil, but Stanley's rise in recent weeks has been steady.

"While it has been generally assumed that Laremy Tunsil is the draft's top tackle," Silver wrote, "I've talked to several (general managers) who have Ronnie Stanley higher."

Also heard they like Buckner and Ramsey. But I dont think RAMSEY is their first choice. They seem to want to trade out of the #3 spot.

Thanks, they need to take a LT.

The best thing that was said about Elliott is that he is a top 10 player. I think Jerry made it clear that Bosa wont be the pick and it isn't due to character issues. I don't think Tunsil is the fall back either. Jerry joked about taking another O-lineman and then said "just kidding".

how can anything that you have to "read between the lines" to understand be "clearly" anything other than wishful speculation?

They aren't going to come right out and say who their target is but I think it is obvious.

Bosa is not the pick but it is not due to character concerns
Elliott is a top 10 player

Ramsey is the pick if he is there and it is looking more and more like he will be.
