I was a huge fan of Byron Jones last year pre-draft. Huge fan. But Ramsey is without a doubt a better prospect at this point. He just has a little more to him. He's more a "football player" where Jones was more raw.
Yeah right they are the same player one just went to a more known football school or else Jones would've gotten the same hype last year

So many analyst keep saying they like Ramsey at CB but love him at safety.
Watching him play makes it look like he will end up being a safety.
I don't like hearing so many analyst say Ramsey is just a "football player". At this level everyone is a football player. When they say this it sounds like they can't really come up with anything real so they want to throw out the "football player" comment.

For a player that is the 4th pick in the draft I would hope Ramsey would jump off the "tape" as the best cornerback. I don't love the idea that we could be drafting a more expensive Byron Jones with butterfingers. I love Byron Jones....but not a second Byron Jones at #4.

Not sure how SD could balk at a franchise OT for a franchise CB/S.

Would be poor roster building for sure.

Even taking out my personal feelings, that Ramsey is over rated, I'd say that it would be a mistake for SD to pass on Tunsil. But if their fan base is any indication, it very well could happen.

So, the things I found interesting are:

1. Jerry seems very proud of what the team has done in the offseason...he beamed that he thinks they have done a really good job.

2. They think that they are not in a "have to" position anywhere on the team....as in they don't have to draft a DE or S or RB or QB high

3. Garrett still is spouting RKG and says they have more quality people on this team than he has ever been around

4. They feel they are closer to 12-4 team then 4-12, answered that very quickly

5. Injuries are the big thing, if they can stay away from injuries to Dez and Romo, a few others they can do well.

6. Sounds like they are going to have to be blown away with a trade offer to consider moving down from 4

7. Talked a LOT about Ramsey, Tunsil almost never mentioned by the Joneses or Garrett, Elliott mentioned some. If you go by number of times a player gets mentioned, it is Ramsey in a landslide.

Typical Jerry. Always in constant sells mode, this guy would sell naming rights on his death bed if he could make a dollar.

Interesting tidbit...Cowboys (Jerry) has never traded a top 10 pick. Don't expect a trade

only been a few times that we've been that bad though. off the top of my head there's 89', 91' (traded into, so doesn't count), 98', 02', 03 and 11'

Not sure why everyone is getting that Elliott is a possibility after watching this. Everything they said screamed they're not taking Elliott to me. I'd say with 99.9% certainty it's Ramsey at this point.

Unless that is what they want 31 other teams to think...but what there motivation is behind misleading them is beyond me...

If SD picks Ramsey then then i really hope they pick Bosa or trade down ,i still cannot fathom picking a RB in the top 5.

I agree with you.
People have a huge love fest with Ramsey. Maybe it's warranted. But I don't see such amazing production from him to warrant this level of praise. B Jones played at a small school so there is always that. But to me Ramsey is a question mark at CB. Why did Florida State have him playing safety if he the next coming of Dion Sanders at corner? Just doesn't make sense.

Playing Devil's Advocate, the Cowboys had Mel Renfro play safety for the first six seasons of his career, and he's regarded as the best CB in the team's history, and a Hall of Famer.

And if Ramsey is gone at 3?

He also said that character concerns were not a factor with Bosa.

With the need vs BPA question, he said that the player needed to be good enough to play. I took that to mean that they would have to beat out who they have starting. Bosa and Tunsil both meet that criteria.

Stephen confirmed an argument about contracts for RB and how that would be taken into consideration in regards to positional draft value.

The Zeke train is derailing.

Sadly, I agree. I think Elliot may only be in the mix if Ramsey is gone. But even then I think we might take Buckner or Bosa over Elliot. I just hope SD takes Ramsey and saves us from ourselves.
