Game Day Pre-season Cowboys vs Texans First half game thread

Blocking broke down, so I don't blame Jackson on that one even though it looked like he might could have cut it up.

However, he comes back with a well-developed screen and scores, dodging inside one defender. To make it clear, Houston blitzed and got burned. Dallas essentially didn't even have to block, but Jackson did a good job of not going to the outside where there would have been some traffic to negotiate. That allowed him to face one defender who he made miss easily without having to make much of a move.

So if that was McFadden on those 2 plays, what would have been the take....just curious....lol....

McFadden would have done the same things except faster.

My take has nothing to do with him. I'm trying to give an honest assessment of what I'm seeing. Jackson hasn't played poorly so far. I'm just hoping to see him do something that makes say, "We've got to keep that guy on the roster!"

I like the cut by Rod Smith to get 3 yards. He saw that the outside was going to be clogged so he cut it up inside. I want to see that from Jackson and I haven't seen it much yet.
