Hopefully next week Chelsea has added Stones and Pogba.

I wish they would've thought more about spending that 110 mill on fixing the back line.

Pogba is a nice player but i'd rather have 2 quality centerbacks and a decent box to box mid fielder.

Right back is a huge problem right now as well.

Zouma has looked good but I doubt they would pair him with Stones. They will probably want to pair him with one of the other English players.

They get neither but look to be adding Papy as a central defender.

Branislav has to be moved and Terry is not an every game starter.
Watching that CP game was one of the worst experiences of my Chelsea fandom.
It was a little like watching the Cowboys and QCar lose to the Texans.

By far the worst defeat under Jose.

But Kenedy looked really good. Time to let him and Zouma play regularly IMHO. Avoid another DeBruyne situation where a youngster develops elsewhere to stardom.

8 points behind already.. City has all but won the league and it's not even September.

The defense is awful and there is nothing in the attack.

IMO, if the fullbacks and wingers would work the back line and start trying to cross it in more then they would create more chances.

Right now they just get down the pitch, cut inside, the defense gets set up perfectly, and then there is nothing we can do.

It's a mess right now and the back line is just not reliable at all.

City looks superb but it is very early. That 8 point lead is no joke but they have to sustain.

Chelsea is completely out of whack to be sure but the talent and coaching is in place to remain a top 3 EPL team and to challenge for the UCL.
They do not look good enough to truly challenge for both titles but again it is VERY early and the rotation likely changes comes Sept 12.

Kenedy looked quite exciting. Could stand to see more of him for sure.
Poor Branislav needs to be sent out quickly. He is scared to challenge defenders right now.
His rushign back on a line with the post while allowing the ball to move unmarked was painful to watch.
He is a good offensive weapon on the wing with crosses but lacks the speed to track back.

There are American right backs I'd rather have:(

Chelsea finally moved Baba in and Ivan out.
That looked tremendously better.

The Isreali side didn't pose much threat and allowed Chelsea to regain some confidence.
Excited to see this weekend's match up.

RLC sure looked good in the middle. Very long and athletic guy who showed great hustle.

And he thought he got away with one...
He deserves it... and I'm glad they took away Gabriel's red card...

He did. Chelsea already pocketed the 3 points.
If he misses 3 games but one in the FA Cup, 1 in EPL and 1 in UCL stage play... he really isn't missing much.

Gabriel has to be smarter than he was and the red should have stuck(you can't foot stomp in dead play after receiving a yellow), but Costa deserved his 3 games for sure as overall agitator and provoker.

Costa is a lot like Suarez. And you live with that for the results... or you look like Liverpool now.

Another subpar showing for the BPL in UEFA....

The Goal Willam made against Porto for Chelsea was pretty.....

If Chelsea continue playing as they are they could end up getting regulated. I don't expect them to continue to play this poorly, but they will need a drastic change in performance to make the top 4.

Liverpool Football Club has announced that Brendan Rodgers will leave his post with immediate effect after having his contract terminated. The process to appoint a new manager is underway.

Not surprised. The amount of money he wasted on poor buys recently - buying for the sake of spending - no particular plan. Wondering if his head us elsewhere with his off field distractions (messy divorce )

Jurgen Klupp would be a good replacement.
