More ready than any rookie ever was though.
We have no better option right now. Unless Dak goes down with injury or its proven he keeps team from winning (hasnt happened yet)than our best option is Romo.

Romo is a far superior QB right now. I don't even think it's debatable. It's just a matter of being able to take a hit, which we don't know if he can.

Dak has years to figure it out.

This is why this offense works much better without Dez on the field when Dak is our QB. Without Dez was when this offense was at its peak in efficiency. He bogs and slows everything down.

Dez is like a car with a trick manual transition that only its owner can drive. The owner is over there with his hat on backwards.

No question he is but he can't stay on field. Best ability is availability. We can't expect Romo to start and start swinging like his 2014 self again. That's a dream and those days are over. Again 11-2. What's the issue?

You mean the 135th pick in the draft isn't going to play 16 flawless games as a rookie?

A few teams aren't going to come up with a formula to make him look bad?

Sorry, I'm not ready to jump ship because Dak looked shaky in a wet, cold stadium against a team that has always created pressure and was desperate.

I expect those numbers to be lower than the "others" considering T.O. and Dez had the best coverage on them.
That's not the norm. I listed Owens' 2008 numbers along with Bryant's numbers this year to show the exceptions to the norm.

Passer rating on targets to #1 WR
2006 Owens 101.6 (Romo 95.1) +6.5
2007 Owens 98.9 (Romo 97.4) +1.5
2008 Owens 76.2 (Romo 91.4) -15.2
2009 Austin 127.8 (Romo 97.6) +30.2
2011 Bryant 110.8 (Romo 102.5) +8.3
2012 Bryant 123.1 (Romo 90.5) +32.6
2013 Bryant 105.1 (Romo 96.7) +8.4
2014 Bryant 123.4 (Romo 113.2) +10.2
2016 Bryant 89.8 (Prescott 102.7) -12.9

One and done in the playoffs. That's the issue.

lol thats a silly argument.

dont be so fickle with Dak. dont be so weak in your belief. its not like the guy gave us a .500 season. u act like we are below .500 with Dak. I have no idea why you're grounding your arguments like Dak is a loser. The guy just lead the Cowboys to a franchise record of an 11 win streak. No QB has done that before him in franchise history. He did this in his rookie season mind you.

"one and done" you dont know that anyways. and its speculative. we do know Romo since being here since 2003 could only get us past 1st round how many times? he has had how long?

and so what If Dak goes one and done. Better than Romo did his rookie season. Imagine what he can do next year and the following if we keep believing in him and not throw him to the curb because of 1 loss. We didnt throw Romo to the curb with 1 loss.

With all due respect to our fanbase and erod... I have never seen a fan base so fickle and weak after an 11-2 run and 1 loss.

What the heck is going on? These folks act like we are still 4-12 with Brandon Weeden. Is this real life? Good Lawd!!

I take it that people are bitter about Romo and are projecting that bitterness on Dak. That's unfortunate.
So they will probably love it if he fails on Sunday and so they need to question their fanship. If Romo comes in, if this ever happens, I fully support him.

against the giants dak pretty much looked like brand on weedon

and what did he look like in that 11 game win streak? Weeden again?

and sure Romo NEVER lost a game. He always lead us to a 16-0 record since 2006.

In what alternative timeline are you living?

On 15+ yard targets, any QB with a 40% completion rate and a positive TD-INT ratio has at least a 95 rating.

The reward justifies the risk. This is common sense at work.

If that's true, and I certainly won't take your word for it, that would only show yet again what a worthless stat QB rating is.

Common sense tells me Prescott sucked the last three games. Hence the 'should they start Romo' talk going on everywhere in the sports world.
