No matter what side of the Dak argument you are on, it seems we all were wanting the same thing - to see Dak prove how good he is on a consistent basis. You know, negotiating through the media leads to a ton of misinformation for the fans. I don't think it really matters to those involved, but it leads to some pretty interesting divisions among fans. And I may be off on the numbers, but I remember a lot of fans around here balking at $25 million per for Prescott and I'm not sure if Dallas ever tried to low ball him to that extent, but it's laughable to think some fans were complaining about $25 million. Every week we wait, that number is going up and there is no alternate universe where Dak doesn't get resigned.

Yep. The Cowboys couldn't have signed Dak earlier because he wouldn't have signed. With the agent he signed with they were never going to give an early discount.

Actually, he does. He will be a free agent at the end of the year and this isn't his 3rd contract. Wilson could have earned far more on the open market but already having had a giant payday, he opted for a more team friendly deal.
